Chapter 75: VIP Room

Lin Ke shook his head. There was no way Lily would let him do that. In fact, she would probably stop providing him with supplies if he attempted to sell it…

At this time, an hour and a half had already passed.

"Lin Ke, did you find anything you wanted to buy?" Lia asks.

Lin Ke shook his head. "No, not really…"

"Well, I think that the auction is going to start soon. We should start heading towards the auction hall." Lia suggests.

"You're right. But… Do you know where the auction hall is?" Lin Ke asks.

Lia shakes her head. "No… Mr. Wraht did really tell me where it was."

"Well, we can just ask one of the people that work here I guess." Lin Ke suggests.

Walking up to one of the attendants standing by, Lin Ke asks politely. "Ma'am, do you know where the auction is taking place?"

"Ah, the auction? That's taking place on the third floor of this building." The lady explains nicely.

"How do we get to the third floor?"

"From here, just walk forwards until you reach the jewelry section, then turn right and continue walking. You should see it then." She says.

"Thank you!" Hearing that information, Lin Ke and Lia began following her directions through the second floor of the building arriving at the site without a hassle.

There were around 100 people or so, lined up in front of the stairs. Slowly, after showing the man in front of the wide staircase their membership card, they slowly trickled up the stairs. Then, Lin Ke saw a familiar face in the crowd.

At the same time, Mr. Wraht saw Lin Ke and Lia. When he saw them, he immediately hurried over. In his hand was a sheet of paper and it fluttered as he strode over.

"Sir Lin Ke and Young Miss Lia, I'm glad you two managed to make it here." Mr. Wraht said with a bow. "I have taken care of almost everything in regards to selling your masterpiece here. Here is all the information on the auction. " Mr. Wraht hands Lin Ke the sheet of paper in his hands.

Lin Ke accepts the paper and skims over it. It was written in a neat scrawl that was easy enough to read. The paper outlined the entire auctioning process from the items being sold, their position in the queue, as well as the approximated price of it. Lin Ke's sketch was the third to last item being sold today. Other than that, the only thing that stood out to Lin Ke was the final object, which was just labeled, artwork.

Lin Ke nods. Mr. Wraht had spent quite a bit of effort on this paper. After Lin Ke finished looking at it, he handed it to Lia, who also skimmed over it quickly.

"Also, Sir Lin Ke, I don't believe I asked you and I don't believe it's written on the paper, but what is the name of the painting?" Mr. Wraht asks.

"The name? I didn't really think of one… Honestly, just sell it as it is… I don't think the sketch deserves a name."

Hearing that, Mr. Wraht nearly faints. A B-tier artwork doesn't deserve a name??? What in the world? If a B-tier artwork didn't even deserve a name in Lin Ke's eyes, then what about C-tier artworks? Would he just label them as trash?

"Alright then, let's head in then." Mr. Wraht says, trying to calm himself down. With that, he began to brush through the crowd headed for the staircase. "Excuse me, coming through!"

The crowd parted upon seeing who it was. Each guest greeted Mr. Wraht with a warm smile as they let him pass. Lin Ke and Lia followed close behind him.

After a few quick words with the man in front of the staircase, the man nodded and stepped aside. Patting the man's shoulders, Mr. Wraht walked past, gesturing at Lin Ke and Lia to follow him.

As Lin Ke and Lia walked up the flights of stairs, the crowd was left wondering why the two of them were entitled to being escorted by Mr. Wraht. What was their background? Were they the young masters of some prominent family? Why was Mr. Wraht so respectful of two kids? However, they had no way of knowing the exact reason.

Of course, they didn't let the question linger for too long after, as the line constantly moved forwards. One by one, the guests all moved forwards and went up the staircase, ready for that object.

Lin Ke and Lia had no idea what was going through the heads of the crowd beneath them. Instead, they had already arrived at the top of the stairwell, which led into a spacious hallway with a few doors on either side. However, there was one large, extremely conspicuous door at the end of the hall.

A few people in front of them were heading straight for the door, pushing it open and striding in. That was probably the room the auction was taking place in.

Mr. Wraht led them to the large door and pushed it open. Inside was a few attendants standing by, talking to the guests streaming in. The room was large and spacious, with multiple doors behind the attendants. There was one in the center, made out of some dark wood. The ones around it were golden in color, looking extremely regal and expensive. That was only further complimented by the sign next to each door saying "VIP Room" with a number attached behind it.

When the attendants caught sight of Mr. Wraht, they all bowed to him and greeted him before turning back to their respective tasks.

Mr. Wraht nodded at them before turning to an attendant that was free and asking a few things. After a few moments of conversing, the attendant bowed and nodded. After confirming the attendant understood exactly what to do, Mr. Wraht nodded in satisfaction before patting the attendant's shoulder.

He then turned around to look at Lin Ke and Lia. He said kindly, "Sir Lin Ke and Young Miss Lia, I have something to attend to right now, as there's quite a lot of things they need help with. I ask that you follow this young lady over here. She will guide you guys to a VIP room and tend to your needs."

"Oh, don't worry about us. We're fine as we are! Go do what you need to do. Thanks for bringing us here." Lin Ke replies casually.

"No, no! It is my pleasure to be of assistance! Then, I will meet up with you later. There's a few problems with the inventory that I have to sort out!" With that, Mr. Wraht walked out the door from whence they came.

After Mr. Wraht left, the young lady walked up to the and extended a bow. "Hello, Sir Lin Ke and Missus Lia. My name is Ami and I will be looking after you guys for your time here with us today."
