Chapter 2: 1- Where am I?
I wake up to the sound footsteps nearing me. I go to sit up, but I'm tied down. I struggle and fight against the force holding me. Unable to lift my head and see what holds me, I jiggle my wrists, and hear the metal clanging around. I let out a curse. The sound of metal screeching and a shower curtain wrinkling tells me I'm not alone. "Who are you?" I shout.
The figure pulls a light over my face, "Hmm, seems you are awake." The voice was calm and feminine. I wince at the blinding light and close my eyes partially, "Who are you?" My question gets ignored again. "Hello?" I try to get a single response out of her. I pull against the handcuffs sharply.
She laughs softly, "You are only going to cause cuts on your arms by doing that." Just as she finishes her sentence, the sound of glass clinking against metal send shivers down my spine. "Umm, ma'am, where am I?" I ask, shaking out of my skin. Something cold touches my arm as she starts to talk again, "I guess you could say your new home for now."
She pushes the syringe into my arm and I begin to feel dizzy. The light above me disappears and her face shows up, "Goodnight dearie." Blackness consumes me and I lose feeling throughout my body. All I can see is her smiling face lingering in the darkness.
