Chapter 48: REEVALUATING MY DECISION

"Syd..ney..." I heard my name being echoed deep in my mind by a blurry voice which sounded so far away, so out of reach.

"Sydney," the voice called out more vigorously startling me out my stupor. "Are you okay?"

I was surprised to see Diane and Lily staring down at me with worried etched faces. I looked about me, trying to figure out where I was and it finally occured to me that I was sitting in the open field of Diane's backyard, where the cheerleading practice was about to take place. The sounds of giggling, cheers and loud shrieks coming from the girls filled the air.
