Chapter 6: Messenger
I really wish they gave me a vehicle or animal to ride. It had been two years and so far even with my amazing skills i've displayed. The best job i was given is spy and it was just a fancier title of messenger. I was half way on my way to the city of Nia mu, a city west of Omashu. It didn't appear in the show but it was currently under siege. I was currently in a forest marching along, i had put away my fir nation attire in my backpack that way i wouldn't be attacked by any wandering earth nation troops. Apparently the city of Nia mu had a large jennamite mine, a natural sugary rock crystal. Though the fire nation attacked it for the large mineral deposits for metal. When i heard about this i wanted to get a few made into handcuffs. I wanted to make a imprisonment tool similar to that of the rings King Boomie had.
"Look what we have here, a earth nation spy perhaps."
Seriously i was a 12 year old, i mean i was a spy but seriously who actually suspects a 12 year old. i looked around and watched as a group of men surrounded me each on a komodo rhino. Ah the Rough rhinos These guys were the ones i was delivering orders too.
"My name is Orin, i actually am here to deliver a message to you guys. If you dont mind me pulling out letter i can give you it you can verify it yourself." I stood there waiting and waited for their response. The leader preformed a hand motion to his team, im guessing the one with the bow honestly.
"Go ahead, no sudden movements."
I pulled out the scroll and reached it out.
"Toss it over."
I rolled my eyes and tossed it and watched as he looked it over.
"Okay come with us, we can confirm the rest later."
I followed along as we walked along all the way to a camp. Really wish one of them carried me there or something. I flicked cinders of fire between my fingertips as we walked though. I had discovered that the use of bending just simply boosted the rating of master albeit slowly. I have been practicing bending when ever i had the chance. i even had increased my energy bending by practicing Iroh's lightning redirection continuously.
"I dont suppose i could explore some of the mines while I'm here. I heard there is a rock candy mine here."
Mongke looked at me again, "how old are you?"
"I am 12." I stared directly into his eyes waiting for a response.
"The document said you were firebender, you prove that and you can go thats basically all the identification we need. The document pretty much had everything except that."
i just raised my hand, the same i was using to flick cinders. The cinders still danced along my fingers. I watched as he nodded and a notification had appeared.

There was no really panel of information that told me if there was an amount. So it must just be overall across multiple people. Mongke had one over his head that said 5/100 with the rough rhinos. Though this pretty much confirmed he approved and i had walked off. While walking away though yet another increased.

I had nodded and just continued to run over to the mines. I would secretly bend some jennamite but for now i would keep decent chunk of it in my pack. After that i would head down through Warden's pass to help along the siege lines.
