Andromeda blinked severally while her brain struggled to understand where all of these were coming from.
At what point in their relationship did she make him feel like she was leaving him?
If she could say anything, it was that he was too perfect for her. There was no one except Gu Jun, her best friend, who loved her as dearly as he did.
Not even her father cherished her. As quickly as he could, he replaced her in his heart.
After some seconds, she finally settled her thoughts, her eyes taking in the sight before her when she noticed how shaky his was.
She could see his fear mirrored in those dangerous black orbs that seemed to want to swallow and drown someone. "Xueyi."
Swiftly, her hand joined his on her face as she nuzzled her cheek into his palm gently while soothingly caressing his hand.
"A…ndy." He released a sharp breath but still did not let go. "Do you know how hard it felt? I thought I was going to relieve the experience all over again," he confessed.
She felt the pit in her stomach tighten from his confession while fighting to keep her tears at bay to let him finish.
"I thought my love became too much for you, and you wanted space. I was ready to give it to you, even if you said you wanted a break, but deep down I knew I'd fight and protest and not let you go."
Andromeda's frown deepened. Hell no, she wasn't planning any of that.
Yes, she wanted to fix things on her own, but not this way. Not by crushing his heart.
"I can't let you go. My resolve shattered the moment I saw you at the airport and here in my bedroom. Andromeda Kai, you're mine, and I won't give up on us."
He had confessed with so much determination amidst the hurt he felt, making sure she understood where he was coming from while also claiming her and letting her know she couldn't escape him.
"I'd never do that," Andromeda blurted out. However, before Liu Xueyi could respond, she pushed forward a bit, her hand leaving his to wrap around his neck as she pressed her lips against his, claiming them for herself.
Her actions left Liu Xueyi stunned.
He did not expect it—yet, at least.
He expected her to scold him for being so emotional or scared for nothing, but then she skipped all her usual antics and crashed her lips against his.
