Chapter 2: Lemme meet your grandpa.
[9 Years later]
I walk down the street looking for a restaurant to eat at, but I bump into someone, I eye him head to toe and can already tell that he'd be a prick. Drunk, lots of women, rich, lots of bodyguards, damn this night is gonna be long ''Hey! Get on your knees and apologize to me now!'' I just stare into his eyes not saying anything, which somehow translates to me challenging him, he orders me into a nearby alleyway, where him and his bodyguards surround me. ''Apologize, this is your last chance'' ''No'' ''Boys, get him'' they begin to run towards me, by their stances I can just tell, they aren't fighters in the slightest, just really tall buff dudes. I send a lightning fast left handed jab to the first guys face instantly incapacitating him, I duck without even looking behind me just in time for a punch to fly over my head, I turn around to find he's already taken a few steps back, and has assumed a boxing stance ''Oh?'' But it's useless I'm a grappler for crying out loud, one of my specialties is being able to use every part of my body, assuming a stance only meant to guard you from the waist up is like begging for death, I kick his calf causing him to loosen his guard a little bit, but even that little bit is enough for me, I sent an upper cut which flew through the bottom of his guard landing on his chin. He didn't even know that I was throwing an uppercut till it hit him, that's how fast I am, it's honestly unfair.
The rich fuckboy looked at me with eyes of intrigue, staring me up and down ''Have you ever heard of, Kure Inc? (I made this up, don't think I don't know what I'm talking about) It's owned by my Grandfather'' I could already smell the business man coming off him ''No, I don't, he sounds important, who is he? What does he do? Tell me.'' ''Ah, okay? You'll have to sign a contract of secrecy if I'm going to tell you this. he explained to me the origins of the Kengan matches, making sure to emphasize the unholy amounts of money involved with the matches .'' ''Is that so?'' ''Yes, I want you to become a Kengan Fighter , since it's just us two involved we can split earnings 50/50.'' ''Sounds like a plan, where's your Grandfather now?'' ''Right now he's on holiday, it's perfect timing since he's coming back tomorrow, but I'll rent a hotel for you, I know this 5 star place we could go!'' It's kinda strange, it's like they all have two personalities, one second he's a blackout drunk young dumb and rich fuckboy, the next second he's a mature straight edge looking business man.
[The next day]
It was another hot day as it was in the middle of summer, so as tradition I wore a shorts and a vest with slippers ''Are you sure you're going like that?'' He asked ''Yeah, also I've just realized this but... whats your name'' ''Did I not tell you my name? Anyway it's Tenma Kure, businessman m-'' ''What was that?'' ''Millionaire'' Tenma said under his breath ''Why is that something to be ashamed of? I can barely pay rent!'' ''AHAAHAHA!'' He put on this facade, but I could see he was nervous, why's he so scared, is it the thought of seeing his Uncle?
[2 hours later]
''We're finally here'' This time I it was clear as day that he was scared, he's afraid and he knows it, his hands were shaking We walk in together and I don't even get three steps in before I'm stopped ''Hey hey hey! He's with me!'' ''B-but it's our job'' ''Your job is to listen to me, we walk into an elevator and only then do I start talking ''Hey you didn't have to be so hard on them, they were just doing their jobs'' ''I know I know, sorry'' ''Nerves must be getting to ya huh'' ''Hm? Why would I be nervous? I'm not nervous'' I shot him a look of, oh really? ''It's just, we don't talk to him, and he's extremely scary'' and you're not?'' This guys scared of someone? He's got Yellow Irises' and black Scleras'! As soon as I'm done thinking this the elevator beeps, ''We've arrived'' ''Tenma, what are you doing here, I thought I told you to never come back here'' ''Yes you did grandfather but I've brought someone you'll approve of this time'' ''Once again, you said this last time, and last time he was an absolute failure!'' I step out of the elevator and the room went silent I could feel him looking into my soul ''This one, he's different, for the first time in your life, you've done something useful'' ''We'll have him fight my bodyguard, but first'' Suddenly I felt a surge of, gravity? Pushing me downwards, I could stand it, it was hard to stay upright but I could stand ''Good good, we'll have Motobe! Get over here!'' a huge and well built man in a black tuxedo appeared from the shadows and stood over me, we were guided towards a huge patch of grass ''This is Motobe, he's in the middle rankings of my bodyguards, you'll be fighting him, what are you waiting for? FIGHT!'' I jumped into action sending a right straight towards his chin, which he moved to catch, he's underestimating me, he isn't taking me seriously, I'll make him, the straight right I sent to his face was a feint, he over extended his arm in order to catch it leaving his chin wide open, I maneuvered within his guard jabbing his chin causing his brain to shake around in his head, disorientating him, Left High Kick to the head, Right Straight to the stomach, he keeled over in pain, big mistake, Knee to the face, Low kick to the ankle causing him to front flip onto his back, I lifted my right leg to stomp on his head when I heard ''STOP!!''
