Every seat in the massive arena was filled. The crowd roared like caged lions as the fourth quarter of the Game 7 Finals reached it's peak.
The score stood 118-117 in favor of the New York Nobles. The clock was down to 19.7 seconds.
The L.A. Lions huddled together during the timeout, none of them wanting to give up.
"Kai, it's on you," Coach Ethan said, pointing at the rising star. Even the experienced coach had resigned their fate to the youngest player.
Kai nodded, his heart pounding in his chest.
At 17, he was already one of the most talked-about players in the FBA.
Again, it was his first finals. However, he wanted to show to everyone why he was chosen by Ethan Henderson himself.
"Don't overthink it," his teammate Davis added, clapping him on the back. "Just play your game."
Kai glanced at the scoreboard and then up at the roaring crowd.
Somewhere up there, his family was watching.
END! Thank you so much for reading Basketball System. It's not the best book I have written, but I learned a lot. Please stay tuned to more of my works.
If you have come this far, I have a surprise! Read the first words of the chapter title of Chap 1-42. It's not perfect, but I tried my best!
