Chapter 53: The Grey skinny Buddha

"You are the first to see me again without actually fully dying first, it's quite the feat. Were you unhappy with your reincarnation? I gave you a strong body, a wonderous Universe, and also let you keep part of your last life's memories. I didn't expect you back". The aliens words flowed into my head without him ever moving his tiny slit of a mouth.

Hearing the aliens words I scratched my head not understanding what exactly was going on. "I didn't mean to come here, I took a herb that would usually take you to an ancestral or astral plane.  I think because I consumed it in another universe I wound up here instead. Oh, and speaking of having part of my memories, why didn't I get to keep all of them?".

The grey alien shook his head. "You would have ended up here no matter what universe, I am your god, I am in charge of your soul when it separates from your body. As for your memories, they are part of your previous bodies brain and usually do not move with the soul. The memories would usually only burden your new young body when you reincarnate. I made an exception for you because it was one of your request and your karma was quite high even though it was shared with another person. I have only let a total of five people since the dawn of time keep their full memories".

What the alien said made sense, but I couldn't help but catch something weird in his words. "Who did I share my Karma with?"

The alien sighed. "I shouldn't have said anything, but even gods can make mistakes. It's part of the reason I didn't let you go with your full memories. The person that shares your karma was not only your life savior in your last life, but also the cause of your past life's biggest trauma. You couldn't go near roads or even have your blood drawn without having a full mental breakdown. It's a wonder how you were able to ever be as successful in life that you were and an even bigger wonder how you could be so different in this life cycle".

Frankly, it was hard to believe. I couldn't see myself trying to end world hunger unless something was in it for me and I couldn't imagine being such a little bitch that I would lose it near roads or in front of a little blood. Still, with what small amount of memories that entered my mind when seeing this grey alien again, I couldn't deny it. I knew they were my memories alone.

The grey watched as I thought about what he had said before he spoke again. "Without the soul your body is dying, you should return soon. Since you have come all this way to visit me, I should at least send you back with a little gift. I am positive you will like it. Although, you won't realize you have it till you have need to use it."

The little grey man turned away from me and as soon as he did, I started to float down back to Earth. On the way, the ancients all but mocked me for trying to ascend without the right to do so. I made a mental note to kill them all or at least show them up in the future as I re-entered my body and then dug myself out of the shallow grave.

Once I was out of the grave, I saw that all of my crew were still surrounding me and a couple were even sleeping as the others kept watch. Looking up into the sky I could see the moon, but my eyes saw things as if it was still daytime. I could see as well in the dark now as I could in the day. A power I hadn't expected from the herb. I could also feel that all of my powers had gotten stronger once again. I could tell the biggest changes came in reflexes/senses.

I needed to test out my new power to be sure of all the changes. I at least knew I felt stronger, faster, and more agile than ever before.

After sitting up, Yuna and Tuka came running to my side with Tuka in the lead as she cried. "Are you okay? I was so worried. I feared I would lose another person I cared about. I know you warned us that you would die temporarily, but I guess I wasn't prepared for the reality of it.  Why do you need to keep doing this to yourself to get stronger? You are already the strongest person I know!"

Seeing the tears in Tuka's eyes that had probably been for both myself and her father, I couldn't help but regret having her participate. Looking around I saw the relieved faces of Jasmine, Yuna, Yuto, and Benny and could see how much I had put them all through unintentionally. Rustling Tukas hair with my hand I gave a smile. "At first it was revenge, but now I have something to protect. There are stronger beings out there that could cause us great harm. It will be dangerous at times but I will continue to get stronger. Accept it"

"Can we be of some help?" Asked Yuto as he came forward with a determined face. His tiny fist clenched towards his side determined to lessen the burden on the man that had saved him and his older sister from a life of slavery in a strange world. Life in Ephyra was clearly maturing him at a fast rate.

"I have a pretty good crew" I said as I walked everyone back inside Ephyra and ordered a ton of pizza from Papa Johns with my cell phone. We now had a bridge built that went from New York to Ephyra. It was part of the remodeling that was done in preparation for the Academy. When the delivery driver arrived at the end of the bridge, I walked out personally to grab everything.

The papa johns driver seemed nervous as I pointed to the MVR-A hover carts and asked him to load the pizzas onto them. When he was done loading them up, he walked up to me with shaky legs. "S-sir that will be five hundred t-twenty one dollars and fifteen cents".

I could tell the young man had mustered all of his courage to speak and was clearly scared of me. Many were scared of what they did not understand and I understood this. Feeling generous due to my power up and the fact that none of my crew stabbed me in the back while I was down, I gave the driver a cool ten thousand dollar tip along with the amount for the pizza and then walked back inside to eat and have a good time with my crew.

The driver was surprised by the generosity and bowed slightly towards me as he spoke. "T-Thank you. Please call us again anytime you need pizza. Ask for Justin".

As I walked back in and enjoyed the pizza party with everyone, I thought about where I would test my new powers. I considered the brightburn universe, but was worried I was not yet ready to face him and figured Id try a number of random universes until I found something suitable.

Hearing Yuto's determination to help me in my future fight, I decided to share the perfected Goblin formula with the young kid in the near future and also make him a suit of armor that can protect his body. For now, I'll just find him a good martial arts instructor.

As I was thinking about my future plans, Jasmine walked up to me. "My King, first I would like to tell you that the robotic Samantha Carter has joined us while you have been away just like you said she would and we fixed it to where her friends could travel wherever they wanted without worry of power source for quite a while. She is currently working as a guard at the Academy, but she can be moved if you command it.  You hadn't left instructions on what to do with her once she arrived aside from welcoming her and negotiating her pay".

It was good news, but it was something I could put off till tomorrow. "You said first? Is there something else?"

Jasmine smiled. "Yes, The other girls and I have been lonely and without our King for quite some time. Please tend to us tonight".
