Chapter 31: Chapter 30 - Evacuating the Town
The impaled officer gritted their teeth and grabbed the Momo, and started glowing. The other officers eyes widened and backed swiftly away from the Momo, as a brown light radiated from the officer, before a large boom erupted and a blinding flash of brown light erupted from the officer. A screech could be heard, and once the light had subsided, and everyone's vision had returned, the officer could no longer be seen. The Momo was standing, with bloodshot eyes, and was missing chunks of it's left arm and body, where blood was pouring out of the wounds, and the dent in it's head was visible. David grimaced, yelling out "Be careful everyone. Don't let Fred's sacrifice be in vain. KILL IT!"
David charged forward, another large sledgehammer forming in his hands, the three officers behind him swiftly following. The three officers positioned behind the Momo moved forwards as well, thrusting their spears at the joints behind the Momo's legs as it tried to rise, knocking it back to the ground. The officer at the back, holding a red longsword coated in red light, raised his hands, and a golden ball forming rapidly, before it erupted in a blinding light. The Momo swiftly closed it's eyes, and it's arms were coated in brown energy as it thrust it's arms towards David's direction. David altered his path, running to the Momo's side, halted, and raised his hammer, before slamming it down with all his might, towards the dented area of the Momo's skull. The Momo screeched as another crack was heard, this time much louder, and grey brain matter could be seen clinging to Davids brown sledgehammer as it lifted in the air.
Two spears, one a flame tipped red spear, and a blue spear with an icy tip, were thrust towards the Momo. The red spear landed in the Momo right pupil, and the blue spear landed in the Momo's mouth. The spears started glowing as they connected and the Momo let out a screech.
As Momo raise it's hands towards the spears, the swordsman ran forwards, slashing at one of the wounds on it's left arm. As the wound was cut into, the Momo let out a hiss, jerking it's left arm back, while the right arm continued to reach for the red spear. The officers holding both spears suddenly backed away, as the spear tips glinted, then exploded with icy and fiery energy inside the Momo's right eye and mouth. The Momo let out a low screech, as the spears started dulling, then dissolving.
The swordsman coating his sword in red light continued to slash away the wounds on the Momo's left arm and body, darting away as the Momo tried to retaliate, while the officers behind kept slamming their spears into the back of the Momo's joints as the Momo tried to rise, with bruises becoming visible around it's knees as it kept slamming into the pavement below.
David approached the Momo's right, raised his glowing brown sledgehammer, and swung it down with all his might towards the hole in the Momo's skull. It connected into the hole of the Momo's skull, into the brain below, and a flash of brown light erupted accompanied by an audible splattering sound, and the sledgehammer started dulling, before crumbling. The Momo stilled, then dropped to the ground.
David let out a sigh, slouching down for a moment, before standing up and looking at the Black Smog where the second Momo was being kept. As he turned to step forward, the black radio at his waist crackled. He picked up, listening to the other person speak. A frown on his face started to form after listening to the person on the other end speak. After the other person finished speaking, David said "understood. I will get some people to help evacuate the north of town. "
Putting down the radio, he turned to look at the assembled officers. "How many of you have run out of energy?"
One officer stepped forward. David nodded. "I need you to accompany the Battlepet Master Trainees to the other officers fighting the Momo groups at Vauxgan Gardens and Grandview Park. The Momo's there are at stage 3. After you have helped them, get them to evacuate everyone north of the town and gather them to Roger's Bakery Store. There are two large groups of Momo approaching from the east and west of town, and we have an hour before we need to evacuate town."
After the officers surrounded the Black Smog, Jamie got Eve to run away and cancel the ability, leaving the last Momo's to the assembled officers.

An officer accompanied Jamie and Amber approached a small park with their bonded beasts. The park had vibrant green grass surrounding a playground set that was half demolished on a sandpit.. Four officers were battling the four stage 3 Momo. Jamie looked at the combatants and sent to Eve "Help the officer fighting to the far right Eve."
Eve rushed towards a Momo fighting an officer with a glowing red longsword. As the officer swung the sword downwards at the Momo it dodged to the side. It's arm became coated with brown light, and it raised it's arm, preparing to stab when Eve ran up to it from behind, empowering her bite, tilting her head, and biting down on the Momo's left leg. A large crunch could be heard as she bit through the leg and the Momo screeched, frozen in pain. The officer took the chance to raise his sword and swipe his sword across the Momo's neck, almost decapitating it and leaving scorch marks on it's neck. Eve let go of the Momo's foot and backed away, as the officer swiped his sword at the Momo's neck again, decapitating it. Eve turned around to head to another Momo.
Jamie looked towards the other end of the park. Leo had jumped onto a Momo's back, digging his claws in and biting down on it's neck. The Momo screeched, shaking it's body, trying to shake Leo it off as it opened it's triangular mouth, preparing to bite down on Leo. The officer it was fighting took the opportunity to raise her glowing red katana, stabbing into the Momo's brain.
Two minutes after arriving, the Momo's in the park was cleared. The officer's turned to Jamie and Amber.
"Thanks for the help."
"No problem." "No worries."
The officer accompanying Jamie and Amber took a step forwards. "It's not over. There are two large groups of Momo heading towards the town. The chief wants to evacuate the town. You need to get the people north of town to evacuate, and gather around Roger's bakery store."
The officers nodded, and headed to their vehicles to start evacuating the people. The officer accompanying Jamie and Amber turned to them and said "There's one more group that needs help."

After helping the last group of officers, Jamie and Amber drove towards Roger's bakery. Twenty five vehicles were assembled there, in a single line, with people standing outside their cars, talking. At the front of the line, two large, heavily reinforced vans in blue and white, with latches at the top.
David could be seen outside standing in the midst of a group of officers with a bandaged arm, holding a black megaphone in his hand. Jamie and Amber joined the line at the back with their vans, and exited their vans and started talking to each other as they waited under the stormy clouds. After forty minutes had passed, and twenty more vehicles had arrived, David started speaking into the megaphone.
"Everyone, I need your attention. In five minutes, we are going to drive out of town. I want you all to stay behind the squad cars. They will lead the way forwards. We will cleat any...."
A huge rumbling sound could be heard, and the earth started to shake. People started to crouch to the ground, to help maintain their footing. A slightly overweight female with blonde female pointed down the road and yelled "look at that."
People turned to look down the road. A large, black worm, with an angular head and glowing red eyes, was rising into the air, emerging from the ground. It had black scales on the top, and legs, small in comparison to it's body, could be seen on it's black legs, each as tall as a building. As it exited the body, and it's entire body landed on the ground, a shockwave rippled through the earth, knocking some of the people watching it to the ground. As it moved forwards, it opened it's mouth, exposing it's purple mouth, and large, white, spike teeth as it let out a large squeaky scratchy noise. As it emerged, people started panicking.
"What the hell do we do now?!"
"That thing will crush us all!"
"Run!"
David cleared his throat and said into the megaphone. "Everyone, I need you to stay calm. We...."
People ignored David, panicking, hopping into their cars, prepared to make a break for it. Jamie turned to Amber, giving her a tight lipped smile. "I hope we can make it out of this. This just isn't worth the money."
Amber responded with a tight lipped smile of her own. "I know right. Hopefully, we can see each other out there."
As Jamie turned to his van to open the door, a loud roar vibrated through the air, drowning out the sounds of people panicking, doors slamming, and engines starting. A large shadow covered the town, and a figure started descending, releasing an overbearing pressure, freezing every living being in and around the town.
