Chapter 2: Prologue

At Beacon Academy, there are two different houses to encourage friendly competition among its students. There was Dragonheart, or the Dragons, who were courageous, athletic, and cunning. Whereas Silverstorm, or the Snakes, was mischievous, intelligent, and ruthless. All students lived on the school grounds, during the fall and spring semesters, in the dorms. There were only a few students who stayed over the summer to get ahead in their studies. Beacon academy had seven years of schooling; starting at the age of just thirteen learning to control their abilities and become a unified nation of wizards and beasts. First years are overlooked, but as you start growing in years, you become a more prominent function member of society. The prefects ran the school, helped students as needed, policed the halls during classes to ensure everyone was where they were supposed to be since most of them didn't have full schedules; due to being ahead a few years depending on the student. The only way to earn a place in this group was to have perfect grades, perfect attendance, and superior knowledge of all their studies. Members of this group were normally sixth or seventh years. There were various other smaller groups; however, the prefects were the only ones with authority given to them by the schools to keep the peace.
