Chapter 1: A lost girl

In the old docks, my tall blonde friend and I arrive at the meeting place. Spotting a giant bald man in a biker jacket I can't help but sigh.

"Something wrong?" The blonde asks. Rubbing my forehead, I reply. "No, everything's fine Edward, I just forgot that we're gonna be meeting with your brother." The blonde now named Edward pats me on the back and says.

"I get it, he's an asshole, but you're the one that insists on meeting him. Hell if it was to me I wouldn't even be here! I must wear these itchy eye contacts, so he doesn't recognize me!" While he rubs his eyes, I check if we have everything for the deal and put on my mask. Coming out to meet Edward's older brother, I speak up.

"Gunter, I hope you've been doing well." Opening my arms in a welcoming fashion. The large man now named Gunter opens his hand in a similar gesture. "Raven, I'm glad to see you. I hope you have what I asked for." Nodding my head I place a briefcase on a crate next to him. Opening it I reveal seven syringes filled with purple liquid.

"Seven syringes of Dreammaker, as promised." Pulling out a single one I hand it to Gunter.

Smiling widely, he asks. "Good, good, I can trust you that it's not poisoned, correct?" Putting the syringe back. I told Gunter that double-crossing him would be a death sentence.

Laughing out loud, he looks at the tall blonde.

Gunter takes a step closer to Edward and looks at him closely. "That blonde hair, you almost look like my brother, but he didn't have green eyes. He had grey like I did!" Slamming his fist into the side of a shipping container, he bends the metal, while cursing about how he will kill his brother once he finds him.

"Gunter, I know you're mad about your brother running away, but can we continue with the deal?" I asked, with my hands in a surrendering motion, since I really didn't want to fight this gorilla.

Gunter takes a few deep breaths and says.

"Of course, I will pay you as promised." Ripping the top off the crate he reveals bricks of cash. But before we can do anything a loud creak from the metal doors interrupts our conversation.

Both of us snap our heads in the direction of the sound, where we see Edward opening the now-bended container.

Trying to tell Edward to not do anything rash as the deal is almost over, he instead yells at his Brother and pins him to the ground, cracking it in the process.

The moment Edward jumped at Gunter screaming, I knew there was no more point in trying to salvage the situation. Pulling out my gun I shot one of Gunter's goons and hid behind the container.

"RAVEN!" Hearing Gunter scream out my name, I cursed. "That's one more bridge burned down, Dammit! Couldn't you control yourself?! Edward?!" Not giving me a response he punches his brother over and over.

But the sheer size difference makes it obvious that Edward has no chance of winning.

Looking at the container's door, I decided to look inside to see what made Edward so mad in the first place.

Pulling the door open, I noticed a figure.

It was a blonde girl tight up with a cloth rag wrapped around her mouth. "MFFF!" Trying to scream something while shaking like crazy. I hear a step behind me. Slamming my elbow behind me, I hit a guy.

Not waiting for a second, I trip his legs and slam him into the ground. Pushing my gun against his head, I stop myself from pulling the trigger. Instead, I slam my gun against his head.

"Don't want to be deaf just yet."

Looking back out, I see Edward fly past me creating a small crater in a nearby container.

"Brother! Is this all you got?! You ran away and hid away with Raven. Just for this?!" As Gunter screams, he punches Edward over and over into the wall.

Hearing his loud grunts, I fire a few bullets at Gunter's large back only for them to break against his muscles.

Click, Click, Click. Hearing the gun run out of ammo, I curse. Seeing the now unconscious Edward, I raise my hands in surrender.

"Okay let's calm down. Edward or your brother indeed met me and- GUH!"

Unable to finish my sentence, Gunter throws Edward at me, sending us to the back of the container.

Feeling Edward fall on my leg, I scream out in pain and try to push that fat Buffon off my leg, but with no result. He's just too heavy for me.

Seeing Gunter walk up to the container, I hear. "Such a pity that you had to betray me. I guess you just have to enjoy your trip over the seas with your new roommate. You would have made such a great ally. Now I have to find someone that can reverse that drug of yours. Goodbye." Locking the container, Edward, the girl, and I are locked in darkness.

Still trying to push Edward off my leg, the entire container suddenly shakes causing Edward to fall off my leg. Finally feeling my leg again, I can't help but sigh in relief.

Massaging my thigh, the container hits the ground and comes to a stop.

"Mfff!" Hearing the muffled girl, I snap my fingers. Creating a small ball of fire.

Having lighted up the container, I saw Edward passed out in the corner. I tried to stand up and take a look at him only to feel a sharp pain in my thigh.

Falling onto the metal floor, I hear the muffled yelling of the blonde girl. Seeing her now in a better light, I wonder where have I seen her before.

With the help of the wall, I wobble to the girl.

"That cloth, turn around." Pointing at the cloth in her mouth she turns around allowing me to untie it. "Thank you, thank you so much." Thanking me like crazy I just took a seat next to her.

Taking off my mask, I take my first deep breath since the whole fight. Feeling my lightheadedness disappear, I see the old rusty walls of the container, with small holes drilled in the sides.

Looking around, I decided to take a better look at the girl. Blonde hair and amber eyes nothing special, so why does it feel like I've seen her somewhere before?

"So, I thought we could talk since we're going to be stuck in here together? haha..."

Giving me a weak chuckle at the end, I reply. "Sure, what about?"

Not knowing what to say she lets me start, so I ask. "What is a kid like you doing here?" Confused by the question, she speaks up.

"Kid? You're younger than me!" Pointing at me, I reply in a sarcastic tone.

"I'm sorry, but I'm 18, a fully pledged adult in the eyes of the law." Not happy with my response she tries to say something back but ends up saying nothing, as she is far too surprised to come up with something.

Seeing her struggle with an answer I try to change the topic with some questions. "Aren't you weirdly calm for being kidnapped? You're not the first person I met that was kidnapped, but still, most of them cried." Just shrugging her shoulders, she says. "You get used to it."

The moment she said that, it hit me.

A blonde, with Amber-like eyes, that's used to getting kidnapped and is the same age as me. It all makes sense now. "Amber" Not realizing that I spoke out loud, the blonde girl jumped away from me and yelled.

"How do you know that?! I didn't tell you!" Raising my hands again, I smile.

"You're a famous face! How would I not know the princess of the throne?!" Speaking in a joking tone, I try to bring the tension down. not convinced she accuses me of working with the Giant man, otherwise known as Gunter. After her little rant, she finally sits back down.

"Your..." Trying to say something, I asked her to repeat what she was saying only for her to speak up. "Your name! I asked for your... name..."

Scratching the back of my head, I think. "You can call me Raven." Looking at the mask that I hold, she smiles. "Is it because of that raven mask? You must really like that bird."

Smirking I say, "You could say I like ravens, but that's not important could you look at that blonde over there?" Pointing at the unmoving Edward, Amber asks. "Why? Why won't he just wake up by himself?"

Rubbing my thigh, I shake my head. "No, you didn't see it, but he was thrown against a concrete wall head-on. He isn't waking up any time soon." Immediately looking at me horrified, she rushes over only to see him asleep soundly with a few bruises.

"What? I thought you said that he was smashed against a concrete wall?"

Ignoring her question, I asked my own. "So.... is his face swelling?" Or is it... I don't know. Tell me something more specific?" Talking in a sarcastic tone, Amber looks at me.

"Did you lie to me?!" Shaking my head, I reply. "No, he's..... god" Starting to feel light-headed I look at my thigh only for there to be a small pond of blood.

"Oh... That's not good."
