Chapter 211: The Kinda Futuristic(?) Secret Base

Secret bases are awesome, there's no doubt about it. However, they are hard to make, much less make it a 'secret'. I guess the only thing that I could consider as a secret base right now is Rokuko's Core Room.

(Shun's POV)
We were all at the mercy of gravity for a second or so, free falling to the ground. However, everyone in this group are in one way or another, not entirely normal individuals.
Each and everyone of us, except for one, was ready for the impact. Speaking of that one person who's panicking hard even after everybody has calmed down after the initial surprise, she's currently being carried by Yuichi-san.
I'm convinced that they are a thing. Yoriko-san was also flailing her limbs around midair so I helped her out in calming down.
"Don't worry everyone, it's completely safe down there!" Mutsuko shouted while accelerating down through the help of drone.
Rinka-san, Touka-san, Yukiko-san, Kaede-san, and Rikka are getting carried by a few of them as well, taking the shape of some kind of chair. As we gradually went down, I looked up and saw that the passageway was getting sealed by cubes that are making some silent machine-like sounds.
Just a few meters above us was some kind of lighting, which explains where the light was coming from all this time. I genuinely thought that the opening on the ground was still open before looking up.
As we approached the ground(?) what we all saw wasn't anything that we ever expected. No land could be seen anywhere and instead, all we could see down below was a cluster of what seems to be clouds or something.
*pooof*
"So sooooft~?"
"Oooooooh! So soft nanodesu!"
"Eh, what is this!? Is this that fluffy cloud above?"
Tama, Pochi, and Rokuko all shouted simultaneously as we all touched this cluster of what seems to be wool or cotton. Like what the girls said, this thing was really fluffy, and it completely killed our free falling momentum earlier.
"What the heck is this, Big Sis? Where'd you get so much cotton and wool?" Yuichi-san asked.
Yoriko-san also asked the same question to her sister, but all these questions were once again completely ignored by Mutsuko.
"Alright! Everyone safe? Follow me!"
Even though everyone was completely confused about what's happening right now, we all followed Mutsuko who seems to be absolutely excited about something. She was literally beaming as she led us in front of a huge wall of dirt and stone.
"Why did you bring us here, Mutsuko-san?" Yukiko-san asked while showing a puzzled look on her face.
"Yeah. Isn't this a dead end?" Touka-san added.
"Is your hidden base hidden beyond this rock? Do we have to destroy it?" Rikka inquired while inspecting the 'wall' closely.
"Destroy!? I can do that! Everyone, back up! I, Satanichia, the Queen of all Hell, can easily destroy this puny wall, no problem!" Satania-san said while holding her shoulders with her free hand and swinging her other hand around, as if she's warming up.
"No no no no! I don't think we need to destroy anything here, Satania-san. Look, Mutsuko-neesan is clicking on something over there!" Kaede-san pointed out, forcing the pumped up Satania-san to look at Mutsuko's direction.
Like what Kaede-san said, Mutsuko is currently in front of a slightly protruding part of this 'wall'. Without any hesitation, she clicked on it like she's clicking a button and, the next moment, some sort of lid opened up, revealing some sort of device that has number pads in it, as well as some kind of scanner.
"Yoisho… I just need to input the password and…" Mutsuko started to input some numbers on the number pad and, moments later, a subtle clicking sound echoed, followed by the low mechanical sounds that I heard earlier that came from above us earlier.
*gasa…*
*gasa* *gasa* *gasa* *gasa*
Along with those sounds, the dirt wall before us started opening in a spiral pattern, revealing an oblong shaped passageway that's flat in the ground and up above while being curved on the sides. That's how it looked like at first.
Upon further inspection, however, it was actually a rectangular shaped passageway and the curved part of the passage was a part of some kind of aquarium. There were many colorful fishes swimming on this aquarium, as well as some corals, seashells, and some rocks.
"Woooooooooow nanodesu! This looks like the Ocean Park nanodesu! So awesomely awesome nanodesu!"
"Whooahh. Ama-ziing~!"
"This looks good! Really good! Shun, let's build something like this, too!"
"This looks really great! I want to take some pictures and show it to Risa!"
"What the… Since when did we have such a thing under our house's backyard?"
"This looks really beautiful, Big Sis!"
While Pochi, Tama, Rokuko, Kaede-san, and the other girls were busy admiring the sight and complimenting Mutsuko, Yuichi-san was completely dumbstruck while Yoriko-san was extremely fascinated.
Meanwhile, Satania-san and Ritsu are hitting it off on the side, talking about the species of the fishes inside this aquarium-like passageway.
"That is called a Clown Fish, also known as Nemo or Amphiprioninae. They live in corals, just like what you see over here…" Ritsu explained to an extremely interested Satania-san.
"Heee… Is that so. But, why don't they have horns and why are they not purple in color or black? The fishes in underworld's lake is not like this and they're this big." Satania-san explained while looking at all the fishes in puzzlement.
'Oi, not all of the fishes on Earth look as horrid-looking as the fishes in the underworld, you dummy.' I couldn't help but retort inside my head at this girl.
"Hmm… Interesting. Might you be interested in showing me some specimens some other time?"
"Sure! I could also cook you some dishes made using them as ingredients if you want!" Satania-san said this while having a, "You're welcome, no need to thank me!" expression on her face.
At Satania-san's words, Ritsu faltered slightly as she paused for a moment.
"I'd… Pass on that offer. Thank you." Even Ritsu knows that she should avoid Satania-san's cooking.
"A shame. I developed a new recipe last time that made even dad pass out because of its deliciousness. He was foaming at the mouth, even! How is it? Aren't I an amazing cook?"
"Ha-Haaaa…"
Oi oi… Are you sure your Dad is still up and alive? He frothed at his mouth, you say? Isn't that a bad sign of food poisoning?

Guided by Mutsuko, we passed through this long passageway and arrived at what seems to be some kind of comfortable-looking lounge/entertainment area, coupled with some television around, a huge table where we can gather, and another room way past this one huge one. This room is pretty huge, probably around 5-6 times the size of a regular classroom.
The lighting in this room is quite good and it looks really futuristic at some parts.
"Whoah! Where and how did you make this entire thing?" Rokuko asked with her eyes wide.
The others were also looking around like me, while the younger girls are already sitting on the sofa, eating some cookies.
"Hmph… This looks good enough for a secret base. Decent enough. Kinda reminds me of my apartment…" Satania-san said while touching the sofa and looking around the room.
If I remember correctly, she's currently living at one of the top most floors of a huge building all by herself. She doesn't live in a house since she couldn't possibly clean it by herself and her parents and family are all living in the underworld so there's no use buying a house all for herself.
Even her classmates who is a demon and the two angels also live in an apartment. Well, save for a certain white haired angel who constantly commuted straight from the heaven back to the human realm.
Although she doesn't show it often and act like one, she's your typical rich ojou-sama.
"Oh hey, this samurai armor looks good! Where did you get one of these, Mutsuko-neesan?" Kaede-san asked as she gazed at the full set of samurai armor that's displayed on the side.
Touka-san, Ritsu, and Rikka were also with her, checking out the armor out of amazement and curiosity. As for the remaining ones like me, we were all roaming around and checking out the place curiously. Even Mutsuko's siblings were really surprised about this place that they just knew of today.
"Seriously, where did Big Sis get the money and the materials to make such a huge ass place?" Yuichi-san murmured while standing beside me.
As for Noro-san and Yoriko-san, they're currently already sitting beside the younger girls, enjoying the fruit juice and the cookies with them.
I was curious how Mutsuko made this place as well so I approached her and asked her about this directly.
"Say, Mutsuko… Where and how did you make this place?"
"Hee hee, amazing, right? I made this after getting the items from this unpopular game in this dimension called MinerCraft. The tools from there are really useful for destroying and constructing things and I also have my inventory access so I could store the blocks I mined here there… I also bought many materials from there." Mutsuko explained while showing me a description of a diamond shovel and pickaxe on her smartphone.
There's such a game? A sandbox game, huh. There's something like that in our world but I haven't tried it out yet.
Oh, maybe I should just buy these equipments from here so that we could use it in some other places? This could maybe help us in making the dungeon back in Rokuko's world faster, for example.
"Hee… You also used your [Mechanical Crafting God] skill?"
"Yep! All of the techs here are made through that after consulting Ritsu! Amazing, right?" Mutsuko said proudly while thumping her chest.
"Yep, very amazing."
She really took her time to make all of this just for a base. Now that I think about it, isn't this basically a bunker?
"It's still not finished yet but I will work on it when I'm free. I just finished this interior and I wanted to show it to everyone, that's why I invited you all here…" with a radiant smile on her face, Mutsuko looked at me.
It was not long after that a pouting Rokuko and Kaede-san join in on our conversation, eventually dragging us towards the sofa where only Pochi, Tama, Tsuka, and Fenny were initially sitting at. The moment I sat down, Tsuka plopped herself on top of my lap while showing a smug expression at everyone.
"Huhu!"
""Tsk…""
I heard some tongue clicking sounds but I chose to filter it out. Man, this trip sure is nice.
We got to see some amazing stuff and, from what I heard, this is just the beginning.
