Chapter 1: Prologue
(My second work. Please be easy on me as of I'm still a beginner. My first work isn't even finished and still working on it. I'm writing both of my works for fun anyways.)

In a huge forest at night, sounds of either screams or bullet firings resonate through the area. Inside the forest, the deepest parts to be exact, a group of 25 men wearing black gears of modern soldiers(A/N. Helmet, chin-cover mask, Kevlar vest, black trousers, blouse, boots, belt as well as black strings with pockets for grenades and other stuff) are battling with what appear to be huge figures with red skin and pitch black horns on their heads, and with large fangs on their mouths.
*Wheeew* The sound of whistling of a projectile echoed throughout the place. But it's not a missile... It's actually a huge fireball that is coming at the group of men at unbelievable speed. "WATCH OUT!!!" *Boom* *Boom* *Boom*
"Just... What are these things!" One of the men shouts in fear while *Pew* *Pew* shooting in random directions with his G95A1 Rifle. He however can not see anything due to the dust caused by the fireballs.
"Take cover, you dumbass!!!" Another man shouts at the latter. He appears to be wearing the same black gear but with few additions, like a skull's upper face area as a head mask with a black neck cover that also covers his chin with what seems to be lines of bone drawings on it(A/N. Ghost mask from CoD: MW3 but it's not Ghost himself). He seems to be the leader of this batch of men.
Unfortunately, the man who was firing didn't listen to this man with skull mask. So his neck got slashed by one of the creatures and fell to the ground while bleeding. The creature didn't move after that, instead, it stood still right above the body of the dead man. All the other men looked at the creature in terror. However, the one with the skull mask instantaneously fired at the head of the creature via his G36. The weapon was modified to reach its target in flash, thus the monstrous-looking creature couldn't flee and was shot to death.
"There's a hutch there. Follow me if you want to stay alive!" The man with skull mask said and ran towards the slightly desolated cottage. The other men who were in shock immediately woke up and tagged alongside him.

(The skull masked guy's POV:)
Me and my men have went inside this desolated hutch I found. It's big enough for us to stay inside, but the hutch however is outdated and few parts of it are broken. At least the ceiling is still there. If you are wondering about why I said "Me and my men" earlier, here's my answer to your wondering:
My name is classified—not like I want to tell you my name in the first place. A 20 years old man who volunteered to be in the frontlines as a Platoon Leader of an elite platoon of Commandos in the war against those creatures we just encountered, whom we regard as "Demonic Beasts".
The origin of the foreign creatures are unknown; however, some people say they come from the space, some say they are Demons who have come from the Underworld, and some do not care about anything and just want to survive. If you ask me about which side do I belong to, I'll only say NONE. There are no clues or solid evidence about their origins.
They came out of nowhere and brought chaos and havoc to the whole world. Whatsoever, few countries survived and they formed an alliance. A big country for all of humanity later, known as "The United Continents" in Asia and Eastern Europe.
It has been like that for 2 years now, and we are still fighting against those creatures. Thankfully, after studying the creatures, the scientists and researchers upgraded the weapons to let us kill the creatures easily. Although, they are too strong. But fortunately, they don't use their brains.
No one dare to say out loud about imagining them using their brains. Not even me... If they were able to use their brains, then we'd have been dead already...
The creatures possess super strength and speed, but their bodies are weak against the modified bullets and weapons of ours.
As long as they don't outnumber us—we will be fine. Heh... They do outnumber us on this mission...
"Alright, men. Stay calm. Do not fire at all. Do not make loud noises. Just sit down and wait, I've already called for evacuation and they are going to arrive in any moment now." I announce to my men, calmly with no fear in my eyes. Seriously speaking, I've been in these situations endlessly, so I got used to such critical moments.
My men also calmly nod in response and just sit down without making any noise; some of them are looking at random directions, some are looking at the black night's sky, and some are looking down at the floor.
What am I doing though? This time, I do side with the guys gazing at this pitch black sky. Only 4 are doing that, including me.
[Commander. Report.] I hear a sound of a man coming from my communication device. It's an upgraded version of military transceiver. He spoke Japanese. I'm not Japanese but I do know their language.
I immediately pick up the device, [Roger, Alpha here. Awaiting evacuation.] I report hastily.
[Captain Musashi here—will arrive to your location in four minutes. Anymore losses other than the last one?]
"Negative, sir. We are hiding inside a hutch." I reply respectfully to my Cpt.
[Good. Stay safe till we arrive.] He says before cutting off the line.
"You hear that. We stay inside." I, again, announce to my men who heard us. And likewise, they nod calmly.
The atmosphere became silent for two minutes straight, due to us mourning for our lost brother, until one of us decided to break this silence.
"After this, I'm going to marry my sweetheart..." One of the four who were gazing at the sky, announced to us happily, while still looking at the sky with a smile.
"Hahaha. Early congratulations, Daiki!"
"Congratulations."
"Hope you live a peaceful life."
"Congratulations, Daiki. Treat your woman well." I tell him with a smile. Oh, forgot to mention, we removed our chin-cover masks. Me aswell but I kept my skull mask.
"Arigato(A/N. Thank you), Lieutenant. Arigato, Goro, Mina(A/N. Mina as in all, and not Mina as in a name)." Daiki thanked us with a bright smile.
"Nah. It's nothing. Afterall, we are brothers, aren't we?" Goro, the man to first congratulate Daiki, said with a smile.
"Indeed! We are brothers!" Daiki replied with the face of a happy child.
""Hahahahaha-" We laughed for few seconds but...
*SHRIEKS* *HOWLS* *SCREAMS* Terrifying sounds resonated through the area. We all were either startled or petrified for a moment until we woke up from this meaningless feeling. We'd rather live than die in fear inside this desolated cottage.
"Calm down! Do not make any noises. I'll check out our surroundings." I announce to them, stand up to clutch onto the wall, then look aside through the supposed place of the door.
I kept checking our surroundings for what felt like 10 seconds. "Hmm. Nothing seems to be around the- !!!!!" I was cut in mid of my speech, and a look of terror is worn on my face.
All the men noticed that. "LT! What's wrong!?" They exclaim but not too loudly.
I didn't respond and just kept looking at what I'm seeing right now...
Hordes...hordes of huge red-skinned people with horns on their heads...running at rapid speed towards our direction. Good thing we are too far.
"Positions... TAKE YOUR POSITIONS!!!" I shout very loudly and the men immediately picked up their guns and got into their positions.
"FIRE!!! USE ALL YOUR MAGS ON THEM! SHOW THESE FUCKING RED-SKINNED MONGRELS WHO IS THEIR SUPERIOR!!!"
*PEW* *PEW* *PEW* The loud sounds of continuous bullet firing, which came from our guns, echoed through the place. We only shoot the monsters on their heads, their foreheads or the place between the brows to be more specific. As of these two regions are their most fragile spots as well as they are easy-to-penetrate.
We've killed dozens of them but there are still more, and they even got closer to us! So I reach my left hand to take two grenades from my string-pocket. I place my G36 down, pull the trigger of the first grenade, and raise my arm back, then throw it at the bastards' direction.
*BOOM*
I then do the same thing to the second grenade.
*BOOM*
I pull another two grenades, they are the last by the way. "Use your grenades! Or grenade launchers if you have!" I exclaim at them and all of them do that.
Everyone, including me, threw grenades at the direction of the bastards.
*BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM*
A dust cloud formed up there, the grenades even sent thick shock-waves.
"Don't stop! Keep firing even if you can't see! Hurry!" I order my men to continue.
*PEW* *PEW* *PEW*
[Captain Musashi here. We'll arrive in 10 seconds. Please shoot a signal, to know your location.]
"Roger." I respond respectfully towards my Cpt, pick my flare gun, then fire it upwards at the sky.
After doing that, a gleaming red light can be seen in the sky, and two helicopters came to our sight.
"[Captain Musashi arrived. Release the ropes, soldiers.]" The voice of the Captain can either be heard via the transceiver or from the first helicopter. The two helicopters are right above us now, with four tall ropes released from each one, in order to climb them and get inside.
"Everyone! Go! Go! Go! Daiki before us all!" I exclaim. I feel concerned for my comrade, he'll marry right after this mission is over, it's his last mission so I'm going to ensure his safety. I do care about all my men though.
"Of course, sir!" They all say in unison.
Although, the helicopters are here, my men didn't immediately climb the ropes. They are 24, so they went eight after eight, while the others are still firing. After everyone got inside, I'm the only one remained, so I run towards the last rope and clutch onto it to climb it.
The helicopters begin to move.
And I'm welcomed by Daiki's extended arm to help me, but...
Before I even touch his arm, I hear a strong sound of the wind...
*FWOOOSH*
And I feel a thick wind enveloping my entire being... *THWAK* Then I felt a firm and strong grip over both my legs. I see Daiki in terror, so I slowly turn my head downwards only to see... *SHUDDERS* Huge red-skinned heads with black horns. The faces of both heads smile at me the moment I averted my gaze towards them, that smile sent shivers down to my spine.
I try to take hold of my pistol, but I instantly feel another hand on mine.
"The grip...is so strong... Daiki... Have a happy marriage..." I say in a low voice not higher than a whisper, but enough for Daiki to hear it well. I then soften my grip of my other hand over the rope, and let my body free to fall. I, however, take this precious chance to pickup my pistol through my now free hand, and quickly shoot the monsters' heads.
"LIEUTENANT!!!" I hear Daiki calling out for me.
'Ahhh... Is this how I'm going to die... Heh. I didn't even lose my virginity. Still though, I'm very proud of myself. I've done and achieved things that not even a Colonel could do, while I'm only 20 years old... That beautiful lady I saved not a while ago... I wonder what she's doing now. Haaah... I really have fallen for her. What do they call it? Love at first sight? Love at first encounter? Whatever...' I think to myself with a slight smile on my face.
But suddenly, everything's gone and I only can see this fascinating golden light above me. "Come." I hear a calming voice of a woman coming from this light... I feel like... It's calling...for...me...
