Chapter 2: CHAPTER 2
"Cole!!" Samantha shouted as soon as she sighted him at the airport
The said man opened his arms with a smile. Without waiting, she ran to him and jumped on him, hugging him. He wrapped his arms around her as he spun her around, the two of them laughing
"You're finally back. I missed you so much" she said after they were done with their moment
"I missed you too. That why I came back" he replied
Samantha looked around
"Where's Diana? She set out before me" she asked Cole, and he replied by nudging his head towards the man that stood beside them
Samantha tilted her head and gave him a look
"What?" he asked raising his arms
"Sean"
"I didn't do anything" he defended
"Why are you here?"
"What do you mean? My brother came back"
"Are you kidding me? Go home" she said pushing away
"Why should I?"
"Just go, would you?"
With a little bit of resisting, he reluctantly went
"Thank you" Cole said
"No problem, I'll always have your back. Diana would soon be here, so I'll leave you two alone. Spend time together, and come home when you're ready to face that big head" she said
He smiled and she departed
"Where is Cole?" Sean asked as she entered the house
"With Diana" she said normally
She looked at him with a knowing look
"Sean" she called his name
"I know, but she's my sister"
"Who's not a child"
"Says the person who still calls her a girl"
"She's my girl" she replied with a smile
"Where're Ryan and Lee?"
As in on cue, they entered just as she asked the question
She waved to them, going into the kitchen
"Where's Cole?" Ryan asked
She nudged her head towards Sean
"Oh" they both said taking their seat, while the accused didn't even bother responding
Hours had passes when the couple decided to appear
"That was faster than I expected" Ryan commented
They didn't say anything because of the man that had a slight frown on his face. With an awkward silence threatening to settle in their midst, the man who was involuntarily causing it spoke up
"Do you guys still feel the same towards each other?" Sean asked the couple
They nodded
"Then, it's fine. But remember.... If you guys break up, you'll no longer be alive"
"You'll no longer be alive" everyone joined in on the last statement, also shaking their head
They tried to all look serious, but failed as they burst out laughing
"You're told them several times, already" Lee said
"So, we're good" Cole asked stretching out his hand
"Of course" Sean replied taking his hand
"Thank goodness, I thought the silence was going to suffocate me" Diana said
"Welcome back" he said
"Didn't you guys already greet each other ?" Shannon asked
"No"
"I was there to stop them from meeting" Sean admitted
"Real mature" Ryan said
Just like that, they went back to how they were, the deafening silence long forgotten

"Do you think it's too early to call her?" Chloe asked the men that were with her
"As you said, you just met her yesterday" Orion answered
"That's enough time, isn't it?"
"Whose is she, anyway? For you to be like this?" her mate, Julian asked
"You make it sound as if I don't socialize"
"You do, but not this instantly, and she's human"
"I know, right? I was also taken aback. As soon as we met, I just clicked with her. I was both fascinated and amazed at the same time"
"By the way..." Orion rose his head, "why are you guys here?" he asked them
"Well, since you want to lock yourself, we decided that if the mountain doesn't go to Mulan, Mulan would go to the mountain"
"It's Muhammed" Orion corrected her
"Same meaning"
Orion looked at her mate, who responded with a shrug
"She said to come to you" he said defensively
The Alpha signed as he looked towards the ceiling with the eyes closed
"Anyway, should I call her?"
"That's your problem, do what you want. Both of you, get out"
"I'll just call her some other time" Chloe said as she leaned against the chair, making no move to do what her Alpha said
"Aren't you leaving?"
"We are..."
"Then leave"
"When you leave with us" she added
"Make yourself comfortable, then"
"We were already planning to do just that, even without you telling us"
The Alpha growled slightly in frustration, as he decided to just ignore them, mostly her
The beta just sat there, watching the interaction of his mate and friend for a while before deciding to make his presence known
"Are you done with the transfer papers?"
"I'll be about done with it today"
"When will the celebration ceremony be?" he asked
He didn't want to ask the question because he knew his friend's already down mood will become dejected, but they were the Alpha and Beta. It was their job
"I'll soon be done, so we should do it Thursday, tomorrow night. We can't keep the mates away from each other" he said the last part silently, as if praying to the goddess not to keep him away from his own mate
Julian sent an encouraging smile to his friend, even though it wasn't acknowledged. He had no idea what his friend was feeling. He didn't need to wait for his own mate; she was also in the same pack, and they met each other, perfectly at their time. But still, he could theorized what Orion was feeling, and his heart went out for his friend
"You'll find her" Julian said, reassuring him
He was sure of that. It might take days, weeks, months, years, but the Alpha sitting in front of him was going to find his mate and happiness
"I will, right?"
"Of course you will. Why won't you?" Chloe said, giving him hope
He held on to the hope, he was going to believe that they were right. Orion gave them a small smile, grateful for the people he had with him

"I will find her, right?"
"Of course you will her" Julian said
"Or him"
The two men turned to look at her
"What?" she asked, "his mate might be a man. You never know"
In their best interest, they just chose to ignore her
She shrugged as she continued to contemplate whether to call her new friend, or not
