Chapter 21: A Little Game (Part I)

"Wow!" That announcement gave me the highest score increase I had ever gotten.
Hutch had figured out that I was behind the release of those pictures. Watching its effect on him, driving him nearly insane, gave me a distinct pleasure.
The photos I shared with the hospital staff ensured they'd remember those images every time they saw Hutch.
What made it more laughable was that the photoshopper made the dick the size of a child. Even if they found out the picture was fake, it's doubtful they could completely forget that unsettling image.
I find satisfaction in the points I've accumulated in this manner. Sharing the same pictures at school as I did in the hospital is appealing.
I've managed to recover all my points, and given the amount I have now, I might be able to get something valuable. Going through the list, I couldn't help but sigh at how much those items cost.
Currently, the items available for purchase are pretty situational, and I might not have another opportunity to use them.
I'd need 50,000 points to boost my physical strength, whereas acquiring the gift of invisibility would cost me 100,000 points.
There's a cheaper variant of the invisibility power, but the idea of being possibly seen while undressed isn't very appealing to me.
Once I returned home, I pondered my next move. It was unfortunate that I couldn't torment Hutch for some time. Given the turmoil I'd caused him, he'd be on high alert for any further schemes from my end. Even if I stayed away, I was certain Hutch would remain uneasy for the upcoming days.
"Hey bitch!" Considering Hutch's mother as another target was an option. Observing her constant attempts to mooch money off of others seemed rather pathetic.
"???" As I caught her attention, I could sense she harbored unfavorable opinions about me.
"I'm feeling a bit unoccupied and thought of spicing things up. How about a challenge? If you win, I'll pay off half your debt. But if you lose, your debt will increase twofold." An intriguing idea struck me when I looked at her.
"What do you suggest..?" She murmured, uncertain about my intentions.
"Considering you're having difficulty catching the attention of men, maybe I can help," I suggested.

I hadn't meant to offend her, but I could see how my words could be taken as implying she lacked allure.
"You'll get three hours on a video call dating app. I'll handle your makeup, and if you can entice a man at that time, you win. If not, you lose. What do you say?" I looked at her expectantly, awaiting her response.
"I'll take you up on that..." Both of us internally recognized the superficiality of this arrangement. Yet she consented to my plan for reasons known only to her.
"Alright. Give me an hour to prepare, and then we'll begin." I didn't have any tools that would allow me to help her with makeup.
I departed and headed to a beauty supply store. I was unfamiliar with the functions of many of these products, but if something caught my eye, I added it to my shopping bag.
"Excuse me, could you assist me?" A tentative female voice called out unexpectedly. She sounded nervous, but it was clear she sought my input on something.
The girl who approached me had a modest appearance with glasses and neatly braided hair. You wouldn't give her a second glance unless her character stood out in stark contrast to her looks.
"What could I help you with?" Before I denied or accepted her request, I was curious if there was any opportunity to earn some points from this interaction.
She probably wanted advice on which product to choose, and sadly, I was clueless in that area.
"Which do you think of these two would work best for me?" What the girl wanted from me was to choose a moisturizer.
"I hate to let you down, but I'm really not the person to ask. I'm here mainly to help a friend with her costume makeup." I could've randomly picked one for her, but it felt like I was being put on the spot. Regardless of my choice, it probably wouldn't make a significant difference.
"Ah. I'm sorry for bothering you." She appeared genuinely sorry for having approached me.
"No worries at all," I responded, taken aback by her demeanor. In such a harsh world, it seemed unusual to encounter someone with such a gentle nature. Having a tender disposition almost invites others to take advantage.
Interacting with her made me think of another angle. If I could establish a connection with her, I could gaslight her into thinking that being friends with me was a must.
Envisioning it, I could see us being in an abusive relationship where she wouldn't fuss a word. It may ruin her life, but points are more of a priority to me.
Before I could continue the conversation, the girl had already departed, likely feeling awkward about our exchange. It was unfortunate for me while fortune for her.
Given the circumstances, I checked the bag and realized I had all the essentials: face paint, lipstick, wax, and hair products.
After spending a considerable amount, I returned home to find Lauraica anxiously gazing at a wall, clearly apprehensive about what was next.
As I entered the living room with my bag of cosmetics, her whole body flinched at my footsteps.
"I should let you know I'm not an expert with these products. I can't masterfully make you ugly, but I can still make you ugly in one way or another. So brace yourself. Even if you lose the bet, that should be the least of your worries. You should know that the internet is a cruel place."
What Lauraica should worry about is the hurtful words people would say. If someone could see past the joke and still be attracted to her, I'd be amazed by their unique taste.
