Chapter 7: THE MORE THINGS CHANGE: Final Part
Ben transforms back to normal and the overgrown dog tries to take a bite at ben. Ben carefully dodges the bite attack and runs away to put some distance between them. But the alien is after ben relentlessly.
Ben skillfully dodges all of the attacks by a hair's breadth, narrowly avoiding each strike with impressive agility. During their clash, several shops were destroyed, and just as Ben was desperately searching for a solution, the Omnitrix gave a green light. Ben exclaims, "Finally!" He instantly clicks on the Omnitrix, and with a flash of light that blinds the Buglizard, he transforms.

Meanwhile, Psyphon, dazed from the crash into the construction site, slowly regains his bearings. He checks his surroundings and assesses the situation, trying to shake off the disorientation. Just a minute later, Rook arrives, running towards him.
Rook, brandishing his Plumber badge, confronts Psyphon. "Psyphon, by the authority of the Plumbers, I hereby order you to surrender now". Psyphon just outright ignores rook and shoots his blasters towards rook.
Rook was taken by surprise and tries to dodge the attacks but few of them hit squarely oh his chest, fortunately for him he has proto-armor protecting him.
Psyphon gazes at Rook's impressive armor with a mixture of greed and envy. "That armor looks amazing. I need to get my hands on it at any cost," he mutters, his eyes gleaming like stars.
Rook responds promptly to Psyphon's remark. "I'm afraid the Proto-Armor is not for sale," he states firmly while dodging laser eyes of psyphon. Psyphon grins in response and says with a sly expression. "Who said anything about buying? I am going retrieve it from your corpse and I'm going to enjoy it very much".
Rook, adopting a fighting stance, charges at Psyphon with determination. "I'd like to see you try," he asserts confidently, ready to defend himself against any attack.

With a flash of green light, Ben transforms into a bloated yellow ball-like alien. Ben gazes at his new form and shouts, "Cannonbolt!"
He then curls himself into a ball and rapidly spins forward, aiming directly at Buglizard. With immense force, he smashes into her face, sending Buglizard tumbling into the underground tunnel where transport vehicles travel through.
Buglizard, recovering from the crash, shakes her head in pain. Beside her stands CannonBolt, poised for battle. Seizing the opportunity, Buglizard sprays gas to blindside Ben and swiftly tackles him with force, sending him flying several meters away.
Ben rises slowly, determination gleaming in his eyes. "The fight's almost over anyway. Let's try the ultimate function," he mutters to himself. With a decisive motion, Ben twists his watch and taps on it. In a flash of light, he transforms into an armadillo-like creature and shouts, "Ultimate Cannonbolt!"
This new form of Cannonbolt shines in silver, its armor adorned with menacing spikes. With a fierce roar, Ben charges forward, spinning and dashing towards Buglizard with relentless force. In the confined space, ideal for Cannonbolt's fighting style, Ben unleashes a barrage of powerful attacks, pummeling Buglizard without mercy.
Despite Buglizard's growls of pain, she manages to spray gas and escape from Ben's grasp. Ben watches as the alien retreats and then reverts back to his normal form, thinking that in ultimate mode the omnitrix times out faster.
As Ben pondered over the functions of the Omnitrix, a sudden explosion shattered the wall beside him. Through the smoke emerged a mysterious figure.
---------------------Back at Rook --------------------
Rook engaged Psyphon in a fierce battle, skillfully countering each of his attacks. With every move, Rook adapted to Psyphon's fighting style, leaving the villain increasingly frustrated.
In a last-ditch effort, Psyphon charged at Rook with lightning speed, aiming to tackle him. However, Rook anticipated the attack and swiftly countered, delivering a powerful kick to Psyphon's face, sending him staggering backward.
Rook swiftly activated his proto-tool, unleashing a powerful missile at Psyphon. The force of the explosion sent Psyphon hurtling through the nearest wall, rendering him unconscious. With Psyphon defeated, Rook stood victorious, ready to secure him for transport back to Plumbers HQ.
From beyond the broken wall, Rook spotted Ben waving at him.

As Ben looked through the hole in the wall, he spotted Rook and waved, relieved to see his partner safe and victorious.
From beyond the broken wall, Rook spotted Ben waving at him, signaling that he was alright. Relieved to see his partner unharmed, Rook nodded back before turning his attention to securing Psyphon and ensuring the area was safe.
Ben gave Rook a pat on the back, praising him for his small but significant victory against Psyphon. He then dialed Plumbers HQ to arrange for the defeated criminal's handover.
"Nice work, Rook. You're shaping up to be a decent partner. From now on, you've got my back, and I've got yours," Ben affirmed, solidifying their partnership with mutual trust and support.
Rook's expression turned into a wide smile, his eyes gleaming with pride and happiness at Ben's compliment.
"Thanks for the compliment, Ben. Coming from you, it means a lot. And you can count on me to have your back," Rook replied, expressing his gratitude and commitment to their partnership.
"Alright, Rook. I've alerted the Plumbers to arrest these criminals. After this is over, let's go grab some lunch and smoothies," Ben replied cheerfully.
"Although I don't know what a smoothie is, I'll follow your lead, Ben," says Rook with enthusiasm.
Ben just looks at him and shrugs.
--------A Few Minutes later-------
The Plumbers arrived at the scene where Ben and Rook were, collecting all the evidence related to the explosives and apprehending all the criminals involved in the crime. The criminals were then transported to the Plumber HQ prison for further processing.
Max Tennyson disembarked from the Plumber tank and approached Ben and Rook with a proud expression. "Good job, Ben," he praised, his voice filled with approval. "You handled it very well, better than I expected. And Rook, you've impressed me too. You haven't let me down. Keep up the good work."
Ben grinned and responded, "Thanks, Grandpa." Rook, with a respectful nod, chimed in, "Thank you, Magister Tennyson. It's truly an honor."
Ben looked at Max with a serious expression and spoke, "Grandpa, there's something you need to know."
