Chapter 13: CHAPTER 12: SENIORS VACATION

Days quickly flew by and people were busy, as it was a norm for them to do so.

Those who are lazy would never fill their tummies, and this was a harsh reality people were facing every single day.

On that particular morning, several boys and girls dressed fashionably stood excitedly in front of a building as they chatted amongst themselves.

"This day finally arrived."

"I told my parents that I wasn't returning until I was done with this."

"I just feel sorry for those that can't come with us."

"Some people still expect to get everything for free. Aren't they naïve?"

This group of people, nearing almost one hundred, were the students who were going on the vacation trip that the Grandview University student council organized for that year.

Ever since Darica took over, she has been doing projects that benefited the students and the school as a whole. And that kind of trip was one of them.

Not only did it make the graduates keep a good memory of the school, but would always remain proud of the school.

Not every person could afford to visit some tourist locations, even when they were in their backyard.

People were either too lazy to visit them or they were just too broke to go there. And with someone or an organization giving aid, that kind of problem gets easily solved.

The graduates' vacation trips were one of the many trips that Darica had facilitated in the two years she had ruled and she was planning on doing more until she was done.

Everyone was waiting for the remaining people to arrive as the two buses they were taking were already waiting for them to board.

While taking the plane was faster than taking a bus, as traveling to Darwin's Island by road was going to take eighteen hours, excluding the time they were going to spend on the ship to cross the sea, the buses were cheaper.

Not only were they cheaper, but they could also see many other places that they didn't know and make a lot of memories.

It wasn't only about convenience, but making use of every single resource that was at their disposal.

Besides, the bus and coach company that they were using was the school's exclusive transport agent. Darica had been using that company for two years straight, so the benefits were plenty.

And as everyone waited, several cars started arriving.

Some were the students that everyone had been waiting for, while a few were the teachers who would be joining for the trip.

As for Darica and the council members going on the trip, they were already at the school but doing something at the offices.

The teacher in charge, or should we say the figurehead in charge, checked one last time the number of students to be sure that everyone was present and nodded her head.

"Everyone, start boarding the buses. I will call Darica and the rest!" she instructed as she pointed at the former students of hers.

"Yes, ma'am!" and with enthusiasm, the group responded.

With amazement in her eyes, she watched as everyone began to get onto the bus with smiles on their faces.

Seeing them boarding without causing a fuss, she took out her phone and made a phone call to the person she dreaded and loved at the same time.

Before she could even say anything, the other spoke, making her scoff as she looked at the call that had ended abruptly without her even saying a word.

"I want to hate her so much, but I am more of a coward to do that!" she said in lament.

At that moment, Darica, Yuka, Tristan, and three other senior members were on their way to where the rest of the students were already boarding the buses with their suitcases.

Since they had a last meeting to do and get over some things since they would be held accountable for everything that would be happening during the trip, they came earlier than others.

And with the meeting done, the six of them who were in charge of that year's trip made their way towards the rest.

By the time they arrived, only a few people were remaining outside and boarding the second bus, as the other bus was already full.

Darica looked at the female lecturer she loved teasing a lot and nodded at her in greeting with a smile on her face.

The other returned a faint smile at her before urging the remaining students to board.

At that moment, Tristan, being one of the boys by her side, began to pack the suitcases into the boots before it was their turn.

As the last people to enter the bus, Darica, and the gang didn't need to worry about not finding space, for there was always vacant space left for them by default.

Darica's love for the backseat was well known, so the backseat of the second bus was empty and so were the other seats in front of it.

With each bus capacity up to fifty-six passengers, the one hundred people still left a few more seats available.

When Darica and her gang, plus the teachers, finally boarded the buses, it was time for them to finally go.

And with the experienced drivers who had worked well with the group knew exactly what to do and thus began the most awaited trip of the year.

And what better way to start it than with a long livestream to accompany those that couldn't go with them, and at the same time earn some living expenses?

Yuka, being the person in charge of this aspect, was always ready, and she also brought with her another minion of hers who would help on the other side.

As there were many social media accounts to run, all hands were on deck and this included Darica herself.

Even without saying a word, she was the kind of person who would have thousands of viewers and receive a lot of gifts.

And she was Yuka's special weapon and one she was very proud of.

And since the vacation was going to take a bit longer due to the time spent on the road, everyone had a lot to show and see as well.

And since everyone was looking forward to this, Yuka and the rest saw no reason to not offer and began the most awaited livestream everyone was waiting for.

Glued to their screens the moment several familiar accounts went online; the viewers were excited despite knowing that they won't be seeing much since it was still early.

But did it really matter if they saw sites or not? What they wanted to see were the people mostly, while the rest would follow.

Seeing the viewers count increasing at a rapid speed, Darica who was operating her page with half a million followers, suddenly flashed a smile and said to the viewers, "Welcome, family!"

The two words that they would never get tired of.
