Chapter 49: Holy War 4
With my two evolutions done, it was time for me to head back. I want to be there when Meliodas and Elizabeth get cursed with Immortality and Reincarnation.
I would be lying if I said I wasn´t interested in theses curses, not for myself but if I ever feel like playing God I can just give my worshipers immortality. Surely what will give me many followers.
I enjoyed walking back on the seabed, the view here was absolutely stunning. Note to self, make a vacation in Subnautica.
As I resurfaced, I scarred the shit out of the fisher village nearby. People were running around like headless chicken, pushing each other and destroying nearby object, it was funny to see them do more damage to themselves than I did to them.
I just walked past their village while observing them create chaos for no reason at all.
At some point I arrived at a mountain range, I had no idea where the two gods would appear, so I just sat down in a valley and used one of my many new abilities, clairvoyance.
I had gained many abilities from my Tree but most of them were useless to me, there were however some that were useful. On thing about the multiverse that I love is it´s variety, I already got one of the tree must-have abilities from a universe where Merlin didn´t manage to escape from Belialuin after she tricked the two gods.
After looking around for a bit, I found a huge storm brewing far away from me. If there´s any sign that something sad or traumatic is going to happen, then it's a storm or rain.
Sure enough, not long after I watched, both the Demon King and the Supreme Goddess descended before the two. This was the second time they worked together already, thought this cooperation was a lot shorter considering the power difference between the four
Their combined struggle was absolutely thwarted, which wasn´t really a surprise considering that this is 3000 years ago where their power level is just around 130.000+. Compared to the two being before them that both had around 1 million, it was insignificant.
I watched as he two died for the first time and I was very tempted to curse the two gods as well, for making my favorite characters suffer so much but decided against it.
Meliodas continued sleeping for over month and many things happened in that time. Gowther used the forbidden spell to change every ones memory to where Mael was killed by Estarossa. With their strongest fighter dead, the Goddess clan decided to use the Coffin of Eternal Darkness to seal the demon clan at the cost of sacrificing their physical body and the Demon King was imprisoned in Purgatory. Must demons where sealed with only some weaker ones remaining but they were also hunted down by the remaining members of Stigma.
Not long after, Stigma was dissolved and the Holy War was officially declared as over.
I stopped watching Meliodas because I knew he was going to spend the next few thousand years grieving and I had better things to do. For one, I wanted to make my trip to an alternate universe to steal the Sacred Tree, the other thing was that I had apparently gotten a little stalker.
At some point, I noticed Merlin appear where I had resurfaced from the Sea. I wasn´t sure if she actually knew if It was me or if she just heard about something emerging from the sea and wanted to study it, whatever the case was, she has been following my footsteps ever since then.
I wasn´t prepared to personally meet her just yet, since I planned to give her a slave or obedience seal, I needed to make sure that she didn´t just unseal it when she got the knowledge from my Library.
With my next destination in mind, I just had to decide how I was going to travel the multiverse. I could forcibly create a rift that would alarm many powerful beings or I could just enter my Tree and exit trough one of its roots.
Yeah on second thought, definitely going with the later.
I appeared in the soulless Capital of the Dead and entered the tree. I could feel nearly infinite roots gain to every universe but I didn´t want to go to a specific one, any would do as long as it had the Sacred Tree.
I wasn´t worried about not finding back since the trunk in this universe and I could always find the trunk. Without hesitation, I just jumped into a random root and enjoyed the roller-coaster across the realm between universes.
