Chapter 5: COUPLE
It's been over six months since Esmeralda decided to agree to the arrange marriage and marry Elias.
They have been dating and going out more often together since then. They have been a couple for a very long time and their engagement is also almost here.
"Are you alright sis?" Linda who is beside Esmeralda asked after noticing that her attention is not on what they are doing.
"Am fine, just that am getting married and you are still single…I wonder if you are planning on continuing your party after party life forver?" Esmeralda asked Linda.
"Don't you worry about me because my party after party life is stopping very soon." She replied.
"Hmmm." Esmeralda who Linda's words doesn't seem believable to her hummed.
Linda who knew that her sister didn't believe what she just said. Try to convince her into believing her more.
"Am serious believe me.''
"I will be patiently waiting for that day.''
"Beside we should be talking about you and not me because it's like am the one who is getting married and not me" Linda said to Esmeralda seriously.
"It's because I never imagined I will be getting married so soon that's why." Esmeralda replied with a sad expression.
Linda who also knew that her sister never really imagined getting married at 22, that's why she tries to make her happy and lift her mood by saying. "I know but don't think about that now and just focus and enjoy planning your wedding now because you will never have the opportunity to do this again."
Esmeralda smiled at her best friend and also sister and said. "You are right you know sis?"
Linda hugged her sister and said. "I know right."
"And that's why you are this incredible two people to me." Esmeralda said and hugged her back.
"And those two things are?" Linda purposely asked.
"My best, best sister and best friend ever…" Esmeralda replied to full of enthusiasm while smiling at her.
Linda smiled and hugged her sister more tighter and said. "And yuo are also the best you know…''
Esmeralda's eyes welled up immediately after hearing Linda's words.
"Come on don't cry now just because of what I said... You are so sensitive you know?"
She cleaned her tears after hearing Linda's words again.
"Okay, I will stop been sensitive now."
Linda helped her sister wiped the remaining tears in her face and said. "That's more like it now…"
"Okay, now let's get Mrs. Mina to call the wedding planner for us because I want to see how the wedding preparation is coming along." Esmeralda said which made Linda who was beside her smile widely at her words.
"That's more like my sister now… and now let's enjoy planning the best of the whole world." Linda said excitedly.
"Hmmm." Esmeralda hummed smiling at her.
"And oh, about Petro and you… the two of you make a great match you know." Esmeralda who remembers her conversation about marriage with Linda the last time was unfinished spoke.
"The two you will really look together when you both get married." She added in other to tease Linda more.
"Do you think we do?" Linda asked.
"Yes, the both of you are perfect for each other…. Don't tell me you don't like Petro sis?" Esmeralda asked her.
Linda who kept biting down on her lip after hearing Esmeralda's question shyly said. "Well…. i….i….do a little."
"Oh my goodness Linda… you are you telling me you are in love with Petro?" Esmeralda who was a little surprised at Linda's reply asked.
She started having this idea that Linda have feelings for Petro Months ago when, every time Petro is around, Linda's eyes will always be on him and those looks weren't the ones a sister is supposed to be giving a brother or cousin at all. Because Linda's eyes at the same time say something otherwise.
And now that Linda has confirmed her suspicion, she really is happy and very delighted because this is news is the best news ever and she knows it will make both her aunt and Father very happy.
And what if Petro also likes Linda too? Ahhh… that will be just the best thing ever.
"Ahhh… dad most hear this right now so that he knows he is getting his two daughters married and not one.'' She added.
"No, no, no, don't tell dad about this yet please sis!" Linda begged Esmeralda.
"But why? This is going to make him happy am sure about it."
"And what if Petro also has feelings for you? That will be just the best thing ever right? And the two of you will just get married. Esmeralda excitedly said.
"Believe me sis; it will be my best achievement ever and one step forward to my goal." Linda said with sparkling eyes.
"To your achievement… I don't understand?" Esmeralda who didn't get what Linda was referring to asked.
"My achievement of life of course sis… I mean it will be the best thing ever for me if Petro also has feelings for me.'' Linda explained further to Esmeralda.
"Because I also don't want to get marry now too just like you… I know you agree just so to make Dad happy, that's why you decided to give Elias a chance so you can also fall for him."
"That's why please bestie you most promise me you are not going to tell Dad about my feelings for Petro yet… pretty please!" Linda said to Esmeralda and pleads with her.
"Alright I won't tell Dad anything yet since you don't want me to and because since I understand why you also don't want to get married now."
"But it would really be great and fun if both the two of us were to get married the same day." Esmeralda comments with a sad expression.
Because she really would love for both Linda and her to get married in the same day and also when Petro is going to be the groom too.
"But you most hurry and confess your feelings to Petro before he starts dating someone." Concern Esmeralda said to Linda.
"You are right, I will very soon sis don't worry!" Linda replied.
"And also you most stop that party after party life yours or else Petro might think you are doing something else with someone whenever you go to those parties of yours." Esmeralda who is concern about Linda's image in front of Petro said to Linda.
"Yeah, that's even why I told you I was going to stop my party after party very soon." Linda replied to Esmeralda her decision regarding her party after party part of her life.
"What if I move back to the Fernandez Manor? And Petro will also see that I stopped partying and when I confess my feelings to him he will not have any complain about that."
"Yeah, that's a very good idea sis." Esmeralda said.
"Oh my God! Bestie you are in love woohoo…" Esmeralda shouts out loud.
"Sis, please lower your voice…..we are in E & F right now, have you forgotten?'' Linda said to Esmeralda after she shouted out loud.
"Just chill bestie… don't forget the company is ours…" Esmeralda replied to Linda with a bright smile on her face.
'I thought you were going to say yours.' Linda said in her mind and scurf but still smiling at Esmeralda.
"What are you thinking about?" Esmeralda who saw that Linda looking at her but her mind is surely somewhere else and also lost in thoughts asked.
"Me? It's nothing!" Linda said.
"Don't tell me you are thinking about Petro?"
"You are crazy…"
