Chapter 2: Hage village
"Sister I am gonna become the wizard king."
said Asta, a young, energetic boy with grey hair.
"Yeah, I too will become the wizard king,"
said Yuno, a boy with good looks and black hair.
"What happened to these two after they went to the village to deliver the letter?"
sister lily thought
"Yeah it's good to have big dreams and I hope you can achieve them"
she said with a smile on her face
"Yeah sister then I will marry you and we will both live happily."
said Asta with stars in his eyes
Sister lily and Yuno sighed hearing Asta's usual rambling about marriage
"Oh do you know what Jin has decided to do in the future?"
sister asked with a questionable gaze
Yuno also gave a thoughtful look while Asta was still busy thinking of his own future affairs
Suddenly the door opened and a boy of age 10 with spiky black hair appeared
His eyes were black with a golden, glowing spot in the center, and was wearing a sleeping mask on his head like a pair of sunglasses.
"Oh, Jin you are awake." said sister
"Oh sister, good morning"
"You too, Asta, Yuno good morning."
"It's already noon Jin."
said Yuno with a sigh
"Oh well I was training all night that's why I wasn't able to wake up"
as he spoke of training both Asta and Yuno's eyes lit up
"Do you also want to become the wizard king?"
Asta asked in his usual loud voice
"No Asta I am training to get stronger because if I don't get stronger I won't be able to join the magic knights and if I can't join the magic knights I cant stay in the city and then I will miss all the fun and have to stay in this shabby church for the rest of my life."
"so you can say that becoming stronger is my necessity for having fun without any interruption."
"yeah Jin but this surely requires a makeover"
said, Asta
Jin nodded too
as they were talking a voice came from outside
"How can you two idiots think of this church as shabby where you have lived for 10 years?"
ah father I know how you are feeling but I'm not doing it for myself
with a pause jin continued
but it's for sister lily
"she is always busy with the church chores and does so much for us and even she must think that the church is old, I can guarantee it"
said Jin facing sister lily
sister lily panicked a little and then spoke
"oh Jin taking care of you and others also makes me happy it's not a burden for me and also I don't think the church is shabby. well, yeah but it's a little old"
"sister lily you too"
father said in a dejected tone
"no father I was just..."
Jin and Asta both laughed while Yuno just smiled
then after a brief silence, Jin again spoked
"well father I want to ask you for something"
"oh, Jin what do you want?"
father spoke in a calm voice
"well actually I want a weapon"
hearing him all four of them were a little surprised
"oh I don't have heard of many wizards that use a weapon"
"can I ask you why do you need it?"
"well when I was training I realize that I could perform much better with a weapon, it was like I was training with an important piece missing"
said Jin trying his best to explain his problem
"ok then"
father said while taking out some money from his church attire pocket
"it's not much but I hope you get a decent weapon"
"its plenty," said jin with a smile on his face
"ok then I am going"
"be careful on your way "
"yeah I will"
Jin said while closing the door behind
after jin left, asta turned toward yuno
"Yuno I am also going to start training from today"
Asta said with excitement in his voice
"you just stole my line, Asta."
said Yuno with determination in his eyes
father and sister smile seeing the boys trying to achieve their dreams

Jin walked towards the local blacksmith shop of the village while humming a song
as he was walking some nearby people have their eyes on him
"hey, he is that kid from the church."
"he must be going to buy something, that means he has money "
"Yeah, let's stick to our usual plan."
a tall man said as he appeared from the nearby street and start walking, a little behind jin
"it's good that this kid didn't even sense my presence I think it will be easier this time."
the man thought while he raised his hand to hit Jin's neck in an attempt to knock him out
just as he attacked him Jin stopped walking
the man thought he was going to fall and was ready to rob him anytime but instead of falling Jin turned his head back to see the man
"did you do something?"
Jin said with a smile on his face
"this kid."
the man again raised his hand this time to punch Jin
but Jin just dodged the punch and like as a body reflex his fist hit the man on his chin, knocking him out and making him fall unconscious
the people around looked in surprise as they saw a young boy knocking a man double his size and weight
"This kid, is he a monster? what was that punch?"
the partner of the man thought while running away
meanwhile, Jin again starts walking toward the blacksmith with a carefree look on his face
"the blacksmith who was working on the furnace saw a kid appear in front of his shop"
"a kid ha"
the man thought
"Hey kid do you want something or are you hear for a job"
"if it is for a job then, sorry but I already have two people working under me."
"no I just want to get a weapon," said jin
"so you want a weapon but aren't you too young to hold one?"
"I may be small but I am the strongest guy here."
said Jin with a confident look."
"well whatever if you have money I can give you any weapon you want"
"come inside and go to that shelf at the corner you can pick any weapon you want from there"
Jin nodded and walked toward the shelf
"Oh he has all types of weapons"
jin thought while taking out different weapons from the shelf
first, he used the sword and try swinging it then the spear and daggers but each time he has a look of dissatisfaction on his face
"This is not what I want, these weapons are good but they don't give the feeling that I want"
Jin thought while keeping the weapons back on their shelf
he then started looking at other parts of the shop
suddenly his eyes fall on a place where some deformed weapons were kept in a messy way
he walked towards the place and glanced at the weapon placed there
the blacksmith who was hammering the weapon suddenly thought of the kid
"did he choose one? why is he taking so much time?"
he turned to look at the kid and found him viewing a deformed spear
"Hey kid, what are you doing?"
"that's not the section I told you to go"
but cutting him in between jin spoke
"old man I like this"
said jin while holding the weapon which was meant to be a spear but was in the shape of a staff
kid do you have a screw loose in your mind
"No old man I like this, its shape, weight, and structure all are perfect and there are numerous ways I can use it"
"It is the weapon I want."
Jin said holding the weapon tightly
"well if you want it then I can give it to you for free because I have no use for a deformed good, but as you see even if you want a staff it is a little deformed and not polished."
" so if you wait for an hour I can give it to you in a proper shape."
"and then you can give me money for only the furnishing"
Jin nodded and give the weapon to the blacksmith
"Okay then I will wait for an hour"
jin thought while lying on the nearby platform
1 hour later
"Hey kid wake up, you can sleep even in this scorching heat"
"oh old man did you finish it"
Jin spoke while removing his sleeping mask from his eyes
"Yeah kid I also give it a new color, really you are the first one to ask me for such a ridiculous weapon."
"first I thought you were insane for choosing a staff which has no blade or handle but not after finishing it I too get a feeling that this weapon will suit you, say it a blacksmith hunch or my instinct"
"well go and take the weapon, I kept it on the shelf for you, and then get out of here"
"ok then let's check it"
Jin thought while walking toward the shelf
as he reached there
Jin saw a long golden-colored staff a little bigger than his own height
It has a lustrous look on it and was now perfectly smooth and round at the edges unlike before when it was deformed in different places
Jin who was so impressed to see it has stars in his eyes
"thank you old man, it's perfect,"
jin said while turning around
"glad, that you like it."
said the blacksmith

Jin walked toward the church holding the staff in his hands
"father will be impressed that I even brought a weapon for only 1/4 of the money."
Jin thought with a smile on his face
"Father where is Jin, it's too late now, he went two hours ago"
sister Lily said with a worried look
"sister lily I will go searching for him, take care of asta and yuno"
father said who himself was worried for Jin
just as he was going to leave, the main door opened and jin entered
"I am back"
Jin said while slamming the door behind
"jin."
both father and sister lily shouted at the same time
"Hey where were you"
"do you get hurt?"
"or did you lose your way?"
baggage of questions comes flying toward jin
"Father, sister don't worry, it just took a little more time at the blacksmith shop, I am completely okay "
Father and Sister finally get a relief of satisfaction
meanwhile, Yuno and Asta also entered the hall after hearing the commotion
"hey jin, did you get the weapon"
they both asked at the same time
"haha"
Jin laughed while keeping his head down
this time both father and sister thought that he was hurt somewhere
"Asta, Yuno, father, and sister lily you will be shocked to see my new weapon so I advise you all to prepare in advance"
all the four gulped while thinking about what jin was going to present
jin then took out a golden staff from his back and showed it to the four of them
looking at their shocked reaction Jin was laughing internally and waiting for the praise
"Jin, what have you bought?"
father shouted while holding jin shoulder and shaking him violently
"Jin, is this really a weapon?"
said Asta who was using his last of the brain cell to understand the situation
"Did the shopkeeper make a fool out of you?"
said Yuno
while sister lily just saw him with a gaze full of pity
hearing and looking at them jin sighed
"you all really can't understand the greatness of this weapon."
