Chapter 28: #25: Ground Lanier
Unlike The Magano of the main island, The Magano of Tsuchimikado Island or known as True Magano is divided into a number of layers.
With the top layer being depth 2013, The deeper the layer gets, the greater the risk become.
The depth Ren and the other are aiming for is 1877, so would they come down from depth 2013 to depth 1877 like walking down the stairs? It is not like that.
Although there's one entrance to True Magano and there are so many layers, it's possible to travel to the layer that had been marked.
Think of it like instant travel in video game, where the protagonist can instantly travel to all the place he had visit, but can't instantly travel to the place he hadn't visited or unlock.

The exorcists run toward the illuminating gate, and arrive at the destination depth 1877.
The depth they arrived to is a wasteland, surrounded by many destroyed giant Buddha statues.
"Guoh...!"
Just 10 second his arrived, Ren already fall down to his knee, struggling to stand up.
Is this truly Magano? ... it's very hot in here... like I were boiled alive!
... and this stench in the air! It's smells like decomposed corpses.
"I truly underestimate it..." say Ren sweating all over and wanting to puke.
Yuzuru frown looking at Ren's condition, this mission main objective is for Ren to gain experience, but she didn't think that Ren would incapacitate so quickly when he just entered the magano.
It seems I overestimate his ability...
Yuzuru then gesture to Hibiki to protect Ren, he understood and accept it.
"Ready your enchanted gears!!" Shout Yuzuru.
VROOM!
An enchanted mark appear on the exorcists body.
"Kokuren Shuko kyuu kyuu nyo ritsuryō" shout Yuzuru, Kuroki, and Tsubasa as their equip black gauntlets with long and huge talons on each finger.
"Zanjōe-fu, Banma Chōbuku" Benkei enchant his Guandao for him enable to harm impurities.
The Mitejima house also equip their enchanted gears.
Beside enchanting their weapon, the exorcists also enchant their clothes with Gaiho Gora for further defense.
Only Ren was left out and didn't equip his enchanted gears, even Hibiki who tasked to protect him already equip Gaiho Gora for defense.
"Look... what... we... have... here... an... exorcists"
Suddenly a humanoid figure encase in a reddish exoskeleton resembling organic metal for an armor, appear before them.
He was sitting idly on the head of The Buddha statue, watching the exorcists from above, like he was a king.
Ryomen Sukuna (Shinjya), Risk A.
Ryomen Sukuna like its name, it had four arms, but rather than two faces or heads, its head was obscured by the reddish exoskeleton, making the exorcists wonder if it really had two faces.
Unlike the usual Shinjya, his heigh is closer to human.
"I... know... you're... here... to... exorcise... me... but... let's... had... a... party... first... shall... we?"
SNAP!
Ryomen Sukuna snap his fingers, "Gyahaha Ahahaha", from behind the Buddha statues, many impurities appear.
"All... of... you... attack!" Say Sukuna as he points his index finger to the exorcists.
"Get Ready!!" Shout Yuzuru, as the impurities except Sukuna start running toward them.
As for Ren, Hibiki carry him on his shoulder and fleeing to the nearby highest point.
"Damn... it!" Curse Ren toward himself, as he's watching everyone start to fight.

"Gihihihahaha!!"
Hoard of impurities approaching them like a lightning.
"Subaru-sama" say a silver haired member.
Subaru nod, "Right, let me", Subaru pull a talisman, then many firearms appear around her.
"Sange, Endless Rhapsody" The surrounding firearms begin to shoot a barrage of bullets.
"Gi-"
"Hah-"
The bullets, pierced some impurities in the head, limb, stomach, and chest. But, there are also some impurities whose body deflect her bullets.
Thanks to her, their number is quickly decreasing.
"We can't lose to first timer" say Benkei.
Even she manages to reduce the number, there are many of the impurities left, and manage to get close.
""Hyaaahh!!" Benkei runs forward, and swings his Guandao (Chinese Glaive) to slash away many impurities.
Ryomen Sukuna who watch him mow down his underling like hurricane, clapping his hands in amusement, "Good... Good..."
Doesn't want to lose. Yuzuru, Kuroki, and Tsubasa also attacking the coming impurities.
"Ka... Ka... Ka... Good... Very... Good" say Ryomen Sukuna amused.
"What's... this?"
Beside The Amawaka, Ryomen Sukuna was curious looking at The Pink haired Woman.
It saw Ousaka punching and kicking the surrounding impurities, her speed is so fast that many impurities were exorcised, or pushed back.
"Is... this... what... they... called... Kung Fu? ... Amazing"
"But... with... this... level... she... maybe... have... a... hard... time... exorcising... me..."
Sukuna's eyes wide open, seeing another exorcist beside the pink haired one.
"Oh! What... we... have... here?! That... girl... behind... she... strong... is... she... a... Heavenly... commander?" Sukuna then noticed Subaru, who shot down many impurities in a short amount of time.
The exorcists keep killing the impurities again and again. Like a Hydra, if you chop one head two more would grow, they exorcise one impurity and two would appear attacking them.
Sukuna then get up and stretch his body, because its face was obscured, nobody knows what expression he's making now.
"It's... time...! Come... here... Doggy!!"
Ryomen Sukuna whistled, suddenly the earth trembles.
The exorcists who felt this had a panicked expression.
The ground in front of The Buddha statue, where Ryomen Sukuna is sitting, begin rising like an inflated balloon.
And when its pop, from underground appeared a gigantic impurity. Like a volcano, when the impurity erupt (shows itself) many debris from the destroyed ground flying then falling.
"Watch out!" Shout Subaru, warning everyone.
"Suba-"
CRUSH!
The falling debris land on to one of Mitejima squad members, crushing her like a squeezed tomato. Even with Gaiho Gora on, there's a limit how one can defend against.
Subaru witness her death, but she doesn't have time to mourn because beside she has to dodge the falling debris, she also must watch the surrounding impurities.
"Gihihi!" a bunch of little impurities grabs another Mitejima squad member, and pull him off to the ground.
"Fuck off!" Shout him, as he tries to get rid of the impurities.
Then one of the little impurities gnaw at his hand, "AAAHGG!!", the fangs dig deep into the flesh, and blood gushing from the wound.
Not over yet, another impurities bite, and tear off his left ear, "Naaaa!!!", the male exorcist struggle to get rid of the impurities.
Tears and snot flow on his face, "Let gho! Let go!!, cry the man, but the impurities didn't care, and another one bite him in the left ankle, "Somebody!!" Shout him with all his might.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
Subaru use her guns to kill and ward off the impurities that grabs and tackle him.
"I'm alive!!" Shout the male exorcist.
"Get up! If you want to live, get up and move!!" Ordered her.
But the male exorcist didn't seem to hear, and he shouts, "I'm alive! I'm alive!", repeatedly. Until a giant hand fall on him, squashed him like a mosquito.
"Tch!" Subaru avert her gaze, as she keeps shooting the surrounding impurities.

Hibiki on Ren watching the fight on top of the head of the nearby destroyed Buddha statue.
Hibiki grit his teeth, he really wants to join his comrade, but he was tasked to protect Ren instead.
Hibiki glance at Ren, he knows this was supposed to be his training. But, he thinks a training at this magnitude would be too much for him.
Heck, Hibiki also saw Subaru Mitejima the prodigy and the supposed wielder of the next Tenko is also had a hard time.
"Go... help them!" Say Ren smiling.
"Leave me here!"
Hibiki shake his head, "Sorry buddy, I can't. It's Yuz-"
Ren grab Hibiki's sleeve and pull him closer, "Which one do you think?! Saving one, but abandon ten?! Or Saving ten, but abandon one?!"
Hibiki eyes wide open, speechless hearing Ren's words. But, he also thinks it is better to leave Ren here, then go helping the other.
"Go! Leave me here! If they lose, the chance we survive would decrease and even if we survive... I bet everyone would bad mouth or persecute us. So it's better to di-"
Hibiki smack Ren's head, "What was that for?!" Shout Ren angrily, as he holds his head.
"Idiot... don't say it's better to die! If you survive, then you can go again! Persecution would wane as time goes, and when you're raking achievements!"
Ren aver his gaze from Hibiki, he felt embarrassed saying the previous words, "I just said because I want you to go helping them...".
Hibiki let out a sigh, "Yeah. But like you said... it's better saving ten, rather than saving one"
"Then Go! Leave me here, I'll be fine alone!" Insist Ren.
Hibiki nod, "I'll go. But don't go anywhere from that spot!"
"Yes... Yes..." say Ren.
Hibiki then jump below, he pulls out a talisman and equip his enchanted weapon "Kokuren Shuko".
When he joined, he quickly slashes and bisect the impurities around his comrades.
"Glad you join!" Shout Benkei.
"Yeah!" Reply Hibiki.
Yuzuru didn't say anything, she already kinda guesses what happen, and having one more Amawaka comrade could boost their potential and strength.
"Hyaaa!!" Shout everyone on Amawaka squad, except Yuzuru and Ren.
Like a hurricane, The Amawaka squad begin to exorcise the surrounding impurities much faster.
Ren who watching them grit his teeth, "I can't lose here!!!", say Ren, as he wants to join them.
Black marking appears on his left side, and his left eye sclera also turn black like somebody pour an ink into it.
Ren felt his body being pressured like he was stomped by a giant, "AAAAA!!!", but he doesn't want to lose to the pressure to force himself to stand up.
The black marking slowly spread to his right side, on the edge of his right eyes, his sclera also starting to blackened.
The feeling of the spreading mark is like when somebody rubs your body with a flaming torch.
Warm sensation become burning hot, the burning sensation akin to your skin and flesh very slowly being digs, and then shred apart by a very dull knife.
Slowly the dull knife begin to slice the flesh, because it was dull the time for the flesh to be cut is longer, and the firmness of the muscle tissue making it more hard to cut with a dull blade.
The knife repeatedly move, rather than cut, it grinds instead. Forward, it didn't get cut. Backward, it still didn't get cut. The process repeat until the flesh cut off and ripped apart.
The pain was so raw, throbbing, and pulsating.
The one who experience this must bear the renewal sensation as long the torch still lit and rub on their body.
"AAAAA!!! GOUKEN-FU!!" Shout Ren, as he felt his stomach was stirred from the inside and his intestine were squeezed.
"KUROBOSHI!!!"
Sadly, the unexpected happens...
