Chapter 186: Legacy
"Ichigo!!!!" Zaraki shouted as he dashed towards Ichigo who was walking away from him.
Ichigo stopped and looked back at Zaraki. "Zaraki?" He whispered feeling confused.
"Catch!!" Zaraki threw something towards Ichigo.
*BAM!!!*
The thing slammed into Ichigo's face and sent him skidding back. Ichigo rubbed his face and looked at the object that hit his face. It was a brain.
"Where'd you get this?" Ichigo asked.
"This is the Gremmy kid's brain. He's The Visionary or something. The kid can imagine anything into existence. He says he's the strongest Quincy." Zaraki explained. Ichigo hummed.
" How did he die? " Ichigo asked.
" He imagined to be as powerful as me. But he didn't imagine a body that could handle that amount of power. The kid explained it to me before he died. " Zaraki answered with a bored tone.
" And what do you want me to do with this?" Ichigo asked. Zaraki laughed.
" Eat it! " Zaraki demanded. Ichigo looked at him with a weird look.
" Are you sure? " Ichigo asked. Zaraki nodded.
" Maybe you'll get his powers! " Zaraki replied. Ichigo sighed.
" I'm not eating it. I'm gonna absorb it. " Ichigo answered and punched through the protective casing that had Gremmy's brain in it.
He grabbed it and looked at it. Suddenly, the brain gut sucked into Mimihagi's mouth on his right hand.
"You ruined the fun sometimes." Zaraki grumbled. Ichigo chuckled.
"Why didn't you eat it? You could've gained the abilities for yourself." Ichigo asked him. Zaraki shrugged.
"Nah. Imagining shit is not my thing. I'm a sword guy through and through." Zaraki held up Nozarashi in its sealed form and grinned broadly at him.
Ichigo suddenly clutched his head, he felt a throbbing pain in it. Zaraki immediately reacted.
"Hey, you okay?" Zaraki asked him. Ichigo nodded.
"I'm fine. I just received the abilities I got from the brain." Ichigo replied and scratched his head.

Ichigo looked at Zaraki who was waiting for him to say something. "Here. Take this." Ichigo gave him a device. Zaraki took it and looked at it. He looked at Ichigo with confusion evident on his face.
"It's a hologram projector. Put it on the ground and it'll project an enormous screen. I got this from Urahara." Ichigo explained.
" What am I supposed to do with this? " Zaraki asked him.
" Find somewhere that has a lot of people fighting. Put it down and press that red button right there. That should get everyone's attention. " Ichigo explained.
" What's it supposed to show them? " Zaraki asked. Ichigo smirked.
" The truth." Ichigo answered cryptically. Zaraki groaned and disappeared using Shunpo.
Ichigo looked up at where the Soul King Palace was supposed to be. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath in and out.
He made a Quincy cross with his shadow and started sinking into it.

Soifon was surrounded by the dead bodies of Lille Barro and Askin Naak Le Vaar. They stood no chance against her Shukai.
One stab from her right hand that had a curved version of Suzumebachi covering it was all it took to make Askin explode into thousands of pieces.
Lille Barro didn't even make her break a sweat. She had created an explosion that occurred from within his body. He was now in pieces too.
A shadow that took the shape of a Quincy Cross appeared beside her. Ichigo emerged from it.
He looked at Soifon. "Soifon dear, would you be so kind to get the unconscious Royal Guard out of her? And can you give me that video recorder I gave you? I need it. " Ichigo held out his right hand. Currently, he was in a normal state. He didn't have Mimihagi, Pernida and Gerard activated.
"Alright. Here you go." Soifon muttered and handed him a device. She then disappeared and grabbed Ōetsu, Tenjirō, Kirio and Senjumaru.
She appeared in front of Ichigo again and stepped in the shadow. She started sinking down and looked at Ichigo for one more time.
"I love you." Soifon declared with a warm smile. Ichigo smiled back.
"I love you too, little bee." Ichigo replied to her declaration.

Zaraki arrived at a battlefield between Shinigamis and Quincies. He immediately used his Reiatsu to send them kneeling down on the ground.
He put the hologram projector on the ground and pressed the red button on it. A giant screen that towered buildings appeared.
Unohana who was looking at the projector was surprised. "Ichigo." She whispered.
The screen showed Ichigo who was walking towards something. He had a floating camera that was recording him.
They saw something shiny that was binded by wires. Ichigo arrived in front of it. Everyone down at Wandenreich could clearly see the man sealed inside the barrier.
The man is humanoid in physique, with slicked-back dark hair, oval eyes and very thin eyebrows. His eyes are very unusual, each having four black irises. He does not have any arms or legs.
He is sealed within an unusual barrier that is suspended by four wires in a large, elegant room.
Ichigo turned towards the camera. "Ladies and gentlemen. I present to you, the Soul King."

The Shinigami were stunned at Ichigo's declaration. They were in disbelief. The God that they worshiped looks like that?! They couldn't believe it.
The Captains had widened eyes. Zaraki was looking at it silently. "Ichigo.... What are you planning?" Soifon whispered as she appeared in the battlefield with her Shukai deactivated.
"This is the thing that has been regulating the flow of souls into and out of Soul Society and keeping the flow stable. You might be wondering, how did he end up here? Who did this to him? " Ichigo asked them. He smiled wryly.
" Let me tell you a story. Over a million years prior to the Soul King's ultimate demise, all of existence was a single, chaotic, primordial world overrun by Hollows that preyed upon the world's denizens.
When said Hollows started to evolve into the first Menos, the being that became known as the Soul King first emerged, "born" as if the world itself rejected the Menos.
To protect the inhabitants of that world, the Soul King proceeded to annihilate all the Hollows that preyed upon them, temporarily stabilizing the world's decline. " Ichigo explained.
" However, five powerful beings from that time were not content with the status quo, and decided to work together to create what they believed was a better world.
Thus, for their own respective reasons, the five sealed an unresisting Soul King inside a crystal and used his omnipotent powers to split their world into three new ones: Soul Society, Hueco Mundo, and the Human World, and in the process created the cycle of life and death. "
" The Soul King didn't resist at all. But they still feared him for what he is. They teared off the Right Arm of Stillness and the Left Arm of Progress, before taking their time to carve out his heart, whittle away his legs, and mutilate and tear out his organs, leaving the Soul King trapped in an agonizing state between life and death for millions of years. " Ichigo explained with a serious face.
" That's how he's here. I still haven't answered the second question. " Ichigo gripped his fists tightly.
" The five people who did this to him were the first Clan Heads the Kuchiki Clan, Shihōin Clan Tsunayashiro Clan and one unknown Clan that existed at the time. The Monk Who Calls The Real Name, The Royal Guard Ichibē Hyōsube also participated in the mutilation of the Soul King. " Ichigo revealed, shocking everyone once again.
Byakuya looked at his hands." My Clan did this? " He whispered feeling horrified.
" Rest assured, I do not hate the current Clan Heads because of their Clan's violent history." Ichigo added. Byakuya sighed in relief, fearing for the worst for a second.
" One man shouldn't suffer this much. That is why I will put him out of his misery and let him rest in peace." Ichigo declared.
" But not right now, because there is still someone I need to kill before I'm able to do that.....
