Chapter 13: Chapter 13: Underboss in Kindergarten

Diego aka Arrow’s POV

“Where are we going?” Marcell asked me from the passenger seat of the black Benz I had chosen today instead of choosing to take the Bugatti.

“Just a little detour,” I said as I parked the car.

“At an elementary school?” Marcell was completely confused before the realization like a lightbulb sparked in his head. “Diego are you sure this is a good idea?”

“I just need to see her,” I confessed to my cousin, reaching behind me for a bouquet I had stuck under the passenger seat, knowing if Marcell had seen them he would immediately have grown suspicious.

“Diego,” Marcell started. “I am empathetic to you and enormously supportive of you and Katie. You know this, but do you think it’s wise that you stop by her work? Think of her safety.”

“I am. That’s why I brought you,” I said getting out of the door and promptly closing it behind me before my cousin could protest anymore.
