Mina Archeron, the eldest daughter in a family of Blood-Servants sworn to protect the Pureblooded Venturi Family, is torn between her duties as a Servant, as a noblewoman and above all, her unreciprocated love for Adrian Venturi. Suffering from horrific nightmares, she was sent away to train with her legendary uncle, Caelan Archeron, before returning at the age of 19 to begin her (or her mother's) search in finding a suitable spouse for her. Though, Mina was never the type to sit back and let others decide her fate for her.

However, with the sudden increase of attacks by the 'Tainted' - a race of monstrous vampires - and the reappearance of the mysterious Jonah Starkov, the strange boy who had once saved her life, Mina finds herself trapped once again. This time, between her own destiny and her own heart.
