 It was my first time ever in the dormitory/residential parts of the school, and its long and narrow stone hallways had a coldness to them that made me feel unwelcome there. Or maybe that was just Roman glaring icy daggers into the back of my head.

I was supposed to be at assembly. I'd already received a few texts from Brittany asking if I was skipping school, but I had to do this and it could not wait until later. If they were having a meeting, then I had to be a part of it. My questions could not wait until later.

"You realize that Charlotte would most probably snap your neck the minute you walk into that room, do you not?" Roman said bemusedly as he strode along behind Vasilis and I.

I shrugged, not bothering to look back at him. We were walking up a flight of spiral stone staircases now.
