Chapter 162: Weakest Link (162)

Nakada and Bachira, the dynamic duo of Barcha, stood at the center circle, the beating heart of the stadium.

They were like two coiled springs, ready to unleash their prowess upon the field. Their eyes were focused, their bodies poised for action.

The stadium seemed to hold its breath as they waited for the referee's signal. The sunlight filtered through the stadium roof, casting long shadows on the pristine green pitch.

The players of both teams were scattered on the field, each one a bundle of nerves and excitement. The tension in the air was palpable, a living thing that seemed to grow with every passing moment.

Nakada's sharp eyes scanned the faces of his teammates and opponents. Pxg was just up by one point, all he had to do was score a goal to equalize,it shouldnt be that hard.

Bachira, on the other hand, had a slight grin on his face, a mix of confidence and excitement. He loved these moments when everything was on the line, and the world watched to see what he and Nakada would do next.

The referee raised his whistle to his lips, and the entire stadium held its breath, waiting for that sharp, piercing sound that would signal the beginning of the match.

As the referee's whistle echoed through the stadium, Nakada seized the opportunity to make a daring play. The crowd held its collective breath as Nakada received the ball with finesse, his eyes locked on Bachira. The tension in the air was palpable, and the stadium was alive with the anticipation of what was about to unfold.

Nakada and Bachira shared a brief, knowing glance before Nakada made his move. "Keep an eye on me, Bachira," Nakada whispered under his breath, his eyes gleaming with determination. With a swift motion, Nakada passed the ball to Bachira, who instantly returned it.

The ball danced between them like a well-choreographed ballet, their movements perfectly synchronized.

Chapi, the opposing team's midfielder, was quick to react, sensing the danger.

He closed in on Nakada, determined to thwart his progress. Nakada, however, was not one to be easily intimidated. He started a mesmerizing display of step-overs, his feet a blur as he weaved the ball with precision, each movement teasing and hypnotizing the defender.

"You're not getting this one, Chapi," Nakada taunted, a sly grin playing on his lips. Chapi, a fierce competitor, responded with a challenge in his eyes, his focus unwavering. He lunged forward, attempting to intercept Nakada's masterful footwork.

With a sudden, unexpected move, Nakada deftly used the back of his heel to deliver a seemingly delicate lob over Chapi's head. The ball floated gracefully through the air, momentarily silencing the crowd.

As Chapi leaped to intercept the ball, he realized he had been outwitted. It wasn't Nakada's intention, this was a pass and he had fallen into his clever deception.

In a flash, Nakada's eyes met Chapi's, a spark of amusement in them. "Nishioka's waiting, my friend," Nakada quipped, the ball sailing over Chapi's head and landing perfectly at the feet of Nishioka, who had positioned himself expertly to receive the pass.

The crowd erupted in cheers and applause as they witnessed this brilliant display of skill and teamwork.

Nishioka, having received Nakada's masterful pass, wasted no time in seizing the opportunity to move the play forward. He controlled the ball with the elegance and precision that characterized his style.

As he began to advance up the field, he scanned the pitch, searching for any weaknesses in the opposing team's formation.

However, before he could fully assess his options and make a decisive move, Karasu, the opposition's midfielder closed in on him. Karasu was known for his calmness and his tendency to engage in psychological warfare with his opponents.

With a mocking grin on his face, he taunted Nishioka.

"You are the weakest link," Karasu sneered, his words dripping with condescension. He was determined to get under Nishioka's skin and disrupt the rhythm of the play.

Nishioka, however, remained composed, refusing to be rattled by Karasu's mind games. With a steely look in his eyes, he focused on maintaining possession of the ball and evading Karasu's relentless press.

He refuse to believe what Karasu was saying but deep down,a part of him was telling that karasu wasnt lying.

As Karasu continued to hound Nishioka, the viewer watched in anticipation, fully aware of the intense battle taking place on the field.

Nishioka's quick footwork and agility became apparent as he deftly maneuvered around Karasu's challenges, making the defender's attempts to dispossess him seem futile.

However, Karasu was hot on his trail not letting him get past him at all and continuously taunting him.

As Nishioka continued his daring run up the field, Karasu's relentless pressure showed no signs of letting up.

His taunting words still hung in the air, attempting to unnerve Nishioka.

Suddenly, a voice emerged from behind Karasu, breaking the tension in the air. It was Bachira, who had been shadowing the play, lurking in the periphery.

With a sharp and confident tone, he called out, "Over here!" his voice seemgling excited.

Karasu, not one to be easily distracted, turned briefly to acknowledge Bachira's presence. "Not on my watch," he declared with determination, his eyes locked on Nishioka. Karasu was fully committed to his role to stopping Nishioka.
