Chapter 2: Ch.2 Stitched

Thud!

"Fuck!" Arthur shouted as he fell off his bed. "What the hell? What dream was that?!" The scared man wearing pink colored boxers asked himself as he stood up in his tattered studio apartment, the floor riddled with junk food wrappers and clothes.

Looking around he didn't seem to have much but what he did have from where he was standing was a barely functioning laptop on top a taped together desk.

"I really should get more stuff in here; this is just sad" Arthur said with an exaggerated sigh as he walked to his bathroom, the dream having left his mind as if it was never there.

"Man, what is up with me lately. I've been having that same dream for the past month" he said remembering the shattered fragments of his recent nightmare as he grabbed whatever clean clothes he had and went into his bathroom for a nice hot shower.

Pshhhhh, Clink!

"Ahh, much better! Nothing like a good shower to get the day moving" Arthur shouted as he stood in front of his cracked bathroom mirror.

Looking back at him was a tan, black eyed 7-foot-tall man of an above average body. White hair flowing from his head to his shoulders.

"I need to put on some muscle" he let out a sigh as he eyed his body in the mirror, hardly noticing the otherworldly crack that took up most of his torso, until the moment he did.

...

The one thing a living human needs is a heart, and with that heart comes the heartbeat. The engine and the noise which represents life.

Blood drained from Arthur's face as he looked at the mirror and saw down at his chest. Pulsing, finger thick, blood red colored veins, starting from his right shoulder ending at the left area of his waist and what seemed to be a breathing black-hole like gap being crudely held together with the mysterious 'Strings' which seemed to spread slowly, as if keeping his whole body stitched together
