Chapter 36: Legends die
"My god." Jessica says "we can't beat that" Rat gasps. Tank watches the army of zombies move towards them from the police station. "Alex, it's time to go, we need to leave." Tank says calmly. "Dude we still have guns to grab." Alex groans. "We won't survive if we get them, we need to leave." Tank says. "What?" Alex asks. "Thousands of zombies are coming Alex we need to return to Crystal lake." Tank says. "Understood." Alex responds calmly. "We need to kill as many as we can right now while Alex gets the others out of here." Tank says smiling. "How do you expect us to do that?" Rat asks. "Easy we have alex and the others drive and try out the plan always shot down." Tank says laughing. The others grin "time to climb into the truck then?" Jessica asks. Tank nods. The group pulls the truck forward and climbs inside with Alex taking the wheel Thomas and Marcy climb in next to them. "Okay Alex get close and drive slow everyone we use these bullets while we got them." Tank says loading a shotgun. "This is going to be fun." Rat laughs tiredly. "If this works i'm so telling everyone who shoots down the plan to shove it" Jessica laughs. Alex slowly drives up to the swarm and loops around so the shooters can reach them. "Don't stop shooting no matter what." Rat says taking his first shot. The 4 shoot over and over leaving piles in their wake. Their ears ring and heads pound from the inclosed space they shot in. Despite the pain they don't stop and press on trying to weaken the zombie army, dropping many. "Do you think the guys in the back will be able to get all of the zombies?" Marcy asks. "No our goal is to widdle their numbers and then go home lessen the roaming danger." Alex says. "Well none of the zombies have been able to get close to the truck." Thomas says looking at the mirrors. "Let's hope it stays that way." Alex says. "How are you so calm?" Marie asks. "I don't think i am really i just have to do what was asked otherwise people i care about might die and thats worse to me." Alex says.
Riley walks around the roofs perimeter and stares off in the direction he had come from when he first arrived. "Where are the zombies?" Riley asks aloud. Sid looks at Riley who has moved away from the group and their game. "Whats up Riley?" Sid signs. Riley drums his fingers on his rifle. "There were so many more zombies than there are now." Riley responds. "Isn't that a good thing?" Sunny asks aloud and in sign also noticing Riley stopped playing. "Yes, no, and no." Riley tells them. "Yes it is good for our survival, no it isn't good because now I have far less to kill, and no because that means something else has caught their attention." Riley tells them. The 4 look down at the horde below. "We will be killing them all day until we run out of zombies." Riley tells the 4. Everyone takes up their rifles and begins shooting no longer competing on the outside but still wanting to out do everyone else. Riley uses his horde buster and begins his onslaught. As he kills the zombies he finds something is bothering him but he can't seem to place his finger on it. Nancy starts laughing like a madwoman. "I just shot a fat zombie and it fell over on a legless zombie and crushed his head." Nancy tells the group. They all share a laugh. All but Riley who continues killing the zombies making his corpse piles all the while he counts. "301 dead fucks." Riley mumbles. Riley observes the horde below. There are only handfuls of zombies left. "Riley to crystal lake what's going on there?" Riley asks over the radio. After a few minutes of silence the radio comes to life. "We fucked up Ri." Alex says emotionally. "What happened?" Riley asks. "We were looting the gun shop and hordes kept coming so when they got to big to deal with we got in the truck and tried cutting their numbers down a little, im sorry Riley we fucked up so bad." Alex cries. "They followed you didnt they?" Riley asks. "We are completely surrounded. I don't know what to do." Alex says. Riley sighs. "Okay guys i want you to gather all the weapons ammo and food in front of the entrance along with any other important things you can find im going to see if any of those A.p.c's are working and then we go save my dumbasses." Riley tells the 4 kids who nod and set off to do as they were asked. Riley turns his radio to the frequency that will reach every member of crystal lake. "Listen very carefully and do exactly what i say,half of you are going to get your asses on that wall and start killing the zombies with whatever you have. The other half is going to load all the food, medicine, cloths, water, and weapons into the vehicles. Alex is it possible to get your huge ass bomb working?" Riley asks calmly. "Yes but-" "good i need it to be ready to go by the time i get there and it needs to be working otherwise a bunch of those zombies will follow us wherever we go understand?" Riley says. "Got it Riley." Alex says. "It was nice while it lasted." Riley says, looking at the sky.
