Chapter 1: EVOLUTION REQUIRES DEATH
It was disappointing I thought I would die old or to a murderer instead, I died of heart failure a common way to pass. It saddened me to let the world I knew go but I was curious since I died I could know if there was something beyond death perhaps there might be reincarnation?
Now here we are I am stuck here in an endless void I have been here for about 100 million years by now? It was boring but then I could feel something I opened my eyes to see myself in a cave system.
'Where am I?' I thought as I moved around I then realized that I wasn't walking around I was rolling? I decided to see my appearance I walked to a puddle formed by drops of water.
I looked as I saw a ball of flesh in the reflection there were seven eyes that all looked at the puddle 'So I'm not a human anymore that's alright I think not being a person is a huge improvement actually!' I thought excited at all the new possibilities that being a monster brought.

'Oh, I'm not that strong... It doesn't matter soon I'll be strong enough to defeat anyone with ease!' I thought as I closed the tab I then rolled through the caverns I suddenly heard the clanging of metal.
I hid behind a rock and looked at the person fighting he wore leather armor fought a green goblin. The goblin looked weakened by the fight I suddenly felt the need to feed.
I looked at the goblin and the human I waited until they were tired after a bit they fell to the floor I ran at the goblin first as it was the closes one to me.
I killed it by piercing its skull using a sharp tentacle I then consumed its body somehow? The goblin turned into flesh and then went inside of me making me larger I also felt stronger I then turned to the scared boy my many eyes starring at him.
Boy: "What the hell are you!"
Excursion: "We are Excursion."
I decided to pull a Venom and tell the boy that. It was weird talking, however, my voice was deep and sounded like many voices mixed together.
'Well, I had my fun' I thought as pulled the boy towards me by now he was sobbing as he saw a hole with millions of teeth in and out of it. The teeth shredded the boy alive but I couldn't feel anything, not remorse or regret anything.

'Put one in intelligence and one in speed' I thought and then proceeded to look at my new stats.

I suddenly got flooded with the information I heard things like Familia's, Dungeon, and more I finally realized where I was. 'Damn it I'm in Danmachi' I thought as I moved around the caves like a snake.
I started to see plant life growing on the sides of the cave I decided to see what they tasted like I bite down on the plants.
[Gained Skill! Lower Poison Immunity.]
'Huh so it was poisonous hey system if I eat more of this stuff will it improve my poison immunity?' I thought the system opened up and replied.
[Of course Lord Excursion]
I began to eat all of the plants improving my poison immunity to the max I then made my way forward I then see light then I recalled my knowledge of the Dungeon and figured out what floor I was in.
I was on the 8th or 9th floor there should be Goblins, Kobolds, and some more for me to consume. I decided to open up the system and finally see all of the tabs available.

I looked at all of the tabs and thought 'Even though the system was a bit basic it will still help me throughout my journey'. I then slithered around the place I saw a human with grey skin it had a wolf head instead of a normal one.
This was a Kobold I stalked it for a little while but it did nothing other than look for adventurers. I appeared behind it and my teeth spun like a vortex it seemed visibly scared of my appearance as it tried to run away.
I spawn an appendage that looks like a hand but there were white bones forming claws on the fingers. I grabbed the Kobold and then it finally decide to fight back it scratched my arm but it barely dealt any damage to me.
I put it in my mouth and enjoyed the meal I looked at my XP bar and saw that the Kobold had given me 12 XP.
I wanted to level up fast so I looked around for a bit and saw a Goblin inspecting a dead body. I gripped the Goblin with my hand it screamed in pain as I heard its bones snap.
I didn't waste my time with this one and instantly consumed it. I looked at my XP bar and saw that I had gotten 4 XP it was understandable as the Goblin is the weakest monster in the Dungeon.
I eat the corpse of the person and then I surprisingly get an ability. It was called [Sudden Acceleration] as the name implies it allows the user to move at their top speed instantly.
'This skill will be very useful to me' I thought and looked at my XP bar I leveled up it seems that humans give me ten XP. But where are is the extra XP? If I added twelve, four, and ten I should be left with twenty-six but when I leveled up it should've taken twenty and left me with six XP but I don't have six.
[Extra XP is converted into extra stat points also +10 intelligence for figuring out what happens to extra XP]
I then opened up my status and saw that I had gotten 8 stat points I put 2 in each stat except intelligence.

I was happy with my stats I exited the status menu and then I go to the shop I only have one hundred shop points so I'm probably not going to be able to get anything useful.
Just as I thought there is nothing good for me in the shop as of now. I lied down and curled myself into a ball I was going to sleep in until adventurers arrive.
