Chapter 9: Spellcasting!

Just after selecting my class, I felt a strong excitement building up inside me. It was like something invisible was leading me, and suddenly, a huge amount of information rushed into my mind, revealing the mysterious ways of using mana and casting spells. It felt like the very core of my magical ability was becoming a part of who I am.

As time went on, my mind became a vessel filled with an immense amount of knowledge that went beyond what is normally understood. I absorbed the detailed subtleties of casting spells, the vast variety of spell types, and the ancient wisdom that only a skilled mage could understand. All this knowledge settled deep within my intellect, weaving together and becoming a part of me.

The sheer pleasure derived from assimilating and comprehending such a vast reservoir of knowledge is indescribable, to say the least.

After about a minute or two, it stops.

Arranging my thoughts, I began looking for ways to cast magic spells.

The theory behind casting a spell is straightforward... You just have to follow these steps:

Familiarize yourself with the blueprint of the empty magic spell you wish to cast. The blueprint is the imaginary structure provided by the ability 'manipulation'. Study its structure, components, and any specific instructions, as each spell will have a unique blueprint.

Mana is the energy required to cast a spell. You need to infuse the appropriate amount of mana into the blueprint for the spell to work. The blueprint often indicates the minimum mana required. You can either gather mana from within yourself or from the environment around you.

Achieve a state of mental focus and concentration. Clear your mind of distractions and enter a calm and focused state. This will help you direct your mana effectively and keep the blueprint stable. Because As you fill the blueprint with mana, it is crucial to maintain stability in the spell's structure. Even a miniscule disruption or imbalance in the blueprint can cause the whole structure to fall apart. Concentrate on keeping the blueprint intact and preventing any disruptions or imbalances.

Visualize the desired outcome of the spell in your mind. See the elements of the spell taking shape and the energy being directed towards its purpose. Hold this visualization firmly, as it helps guide the magic in the right direction.

Once you have successfully filled the blueprint with the required amount of mana and ensured its stability, release the energy within the spell. This can be done through a specific action or incantation associated with the spell, depending on the blueprint's instructions.

Dhruv initially believes casting the spell would be a very easy task, as he just has to follow these simple steps, only to discover its true horror after his first attempt.

With the help of the skill 'mana manipulation', he directs his own mana towards the blueprint. However, as the first drop of mana connects with the design, it crumbles apart, revealing his oversight in maintaining overall stability.

Dhruv frowned after seeing this result but thought nothing of it as this was merely his first attempt at spellcasting.

He once again started guiding his mana toward the blueprint along with trying to keep it stable, but it was much harder than he thought it would be to keep both things running at the same time, so he fails once again and just manages to keep it stable for merely half a second.

'Okay, relax, and let's get started once again', Dhruv taught with a confident expression on his face.

"Why the fuck is it so hard to cast a basic spell?"

For several hours, he has been trying to cast a basic metal spell but has yet to succeed.

Why am I failing this so badly? It's not like I'm trying to create a spell out of nowhere but just filling in the mana in an already created blueprint. After several hours of hard work, he understood that the main reason behind his failure was his inability to create an equilibrium between infusing mana and simultaneously stabilizing it.

After knowing his mistake, he resumed his grind, and after an hour, he finally got the fruit of his labor. He can now maintain the structure for a total of three seconds with a half complete spell.

After so much grinding, one of his skills finally leveled up.

This skill proved to be very helpful as, after being upgraded, Dhruv could feel his control over mana getting better and better with each passing minute.

As Dhruv's dedication and practice continued, he found himself making steady progress in his spellcasting abilities. Another hour of focused training allowed him to improve his skills even further. Now, Dhruv could maintain the blueprint for the spell for a full ten seconds without any disruptions.

Encouraged by his progress, Dhruv knew that he was getting closer to the moment when he would be able to cast his first spell successfully. Only a few remaining elements needed to be addressed before he could bring his magic to life.

With his mind focused and his mana pulsating, Dhruv started to slowly infuse the mana into the blueprint of the spell. He meticulously maintained the spell's structure, paying attention to every detail and preventing any disruptions or imbalances. He could feel the energy flowing through him and into the blueprint, reinforcing its stability.

As Dhruv continued to concentrate, visualizing the desired outcome, the 'Metal Arrow'- the spell he chose to cast, began to take shape in his mind. He saw the metallic essence coalescing, forming a sleek and deadly arrow. He held onto this vivid visualization, guiding the magic towards its purpose.

After five seconds of unwavering concentration and mana infusion, Dhruv could sense the spell structure growing stronger and more stable. With each passing moment, his confidence grew. At the tenth second, feeling a surge of power and conviction, Dhruv channeled the final surge of mana into the blueprint.

In an instant, a gleaming Metal Arrow materialized before Dhruv. It hovered in mid-air, ready to be unleashed with precision and force. With a focused gaze and a swift motion, Dhruv directed the arrow towards his target, letting it soar through the air with a metallic gleam and hit the wall. Due to not having that much energy, it couldn't pierce it. but that's none of Dhruv's concern at the moment.

Dhruv's joy knew no bounds as he finally witnessed the fruit of his labor. The echoes of his success reverberated through the chamber, a testament to his newfound prowess in the realm of magic.

As if even the cosmos agreed with his success, the sound of notification was once again heard in his ear.
