Chapter 3: A New Me
I was just as confused as everybody else was. I was sure I had died! But why am I here? What's going on? I had so many questions my head started to hurt.
All of a sudden a doctor walked up to me.
"Can you move?" He asked
I stared at him with a blank expression and nodded.
"Do you know who I am?"
I shake my head. He sighs at my response. He walked over to the woman who sat beside me still grasping my hand. He puts his hand on the woman's shoulder.
"Do you know who this woman is?"
I turned my head to face the woman. My eyes blank, I shake my head. Her smile quickly turned to a frown and tears started streaming down her face. The doctor lowered his head then turned to face my again.
"This woman. She is your mother."
I stare with my blank expression. I wanted to smile but I was so tired, I said I could move but I really can't. My body hurts so much. I let out a nimble laugh and lay back down on the bed.
"Ok." I replied staring at the ceiling
It went quiet. The doctor took the woman by the shoulders and helped her up. He led her out of the room, the other doctors followed behind. A click from the door and they were gone. I let out a faint sigh and closed my eyes. I went to sleep the moment I closed my eyes, hoping that everything that happened was a dream.
