Chapter 1: Chapter 1- The Interview
Mariyah woke up, had her bath, dressed up and did her chores. Mariyah was 22 and lived in her small apartment, she didn't have a job and struggled to pay for her rent.
As Mariyah started to read her book, she knew she forgot something but it just didn't enter her mind until suddenly. THE INTERVIEW!!
Mariyah remembered.
She jumped from her bed, wore something classy, got her purse and locked the door to her small apartment. Mariyah decided to walk instead of waiting for the bus.
As she was walking everything entered her mind, she went through a lot to get this interview and it really meant a lot to her, it was one in a lifetime's chance to Mariyah. She was just trying her best to remain hopeful.
Mortem was a well-known company in that town. The richest people were always seen there, it would be a honour to work in such a glorious company. The CEO, Mr.Devonte,was very wealthy due to the profit from this company, he was also very hidden, he rarely appeared in the public so nobody really knew anything about him except that he was the CEO of Mortem.
Mariyah finally reached the building, it was very big from the exterior and had a very lovely garden at the entrance, there were so many people walking around. As Mariyah entered the building she saw nice chandeliers and beautiful artworks around the building. She felt like crying from the beauty of the building.
She made her way to the reception and saw a woman typing a computer, the woman was wearing something more formal than her which made her scared. After gathering enough courage, she walked up to the woman. "Hello miss." she said. The woman suddenly stopped typing and looked up at her with a face of disgust. Mariyah became uncomfortable, she knew that she looked like a piece of s*** compared to this woman. "How may I help you?"she said in a soft, yet strong voice.
Mariyah was actually embarrassed. "My name is Mariyah, I'm here for the interview." she said with an excited voice. The receptionist just typed on her computer. "That was an hour ago, please leave." the receptionist said in a very disgusted voice . Mariyah couldn't believe it, just like that she had lost her job but no. She wouldn't give up easily. "Please give me a second chance. " Mariyah said in a determined voice. The woman just looked up "No, please leave." she said again getting a bit impatient.
At that point, Mariyah knew there was no hope, she walked out of the building looking so sad and just sat outside as she went deep into her thoughts.
[How is this possible? How would I pay the rent?] she thought.

A black limousine drove to the front of the people, people started to crowd the car and then a well-dressed man came out from the limousine. Out of nowhere, five bodyguards came and covered him.
He started to look around the environment when he spotted a girl looking so sad.
[How could someone be sad? It's a beautiful day.] he thought.
Before he knew it , he was walking towards her.
[Why do I even care?]
He couldn't deny, it was because of her beauty.

Mariyah was deep in her thoughts when she heard a neutral, chill voice "Hello." She looked up to see a handsome man looking at her, he eyes were black and perfectly shaped, he had a well-chiseld face and wow..
[Woah..]
"Hey." she said. "Why are you sad." he asked without haste.
[Who is this man and what does he want from me?] she thought.

I just realized that this is too long, so I'll try to make shorter versions and I don't think any of my chapters would be locked because I personally don't like that. This story is written from my mind, so I don't have a plan on how it would be or anything but like they say
