Pepper and Asher rushed to the emergency unit to ask for June. Pepper remembers having all kinds of crazy thoughts on her way to the hospital. Thoughts she couldn't control, Questions that drove her to the edge of insanity.

Was her best friend close to death?

Was Junie stupid enough to hurt herself because of a married man?

She had about a thousand of them questions as they walked into the hospital.

The nurse at the front desk was kind enough and courteous enough to pay a listening ear probably because she recognized Asher from his visit earlier with Starr. 

Asher wondered briefly if his cover would be blown given that they were at Demi knight hospital.

He tried to keep his face devoid of smiles and his countenance not approachable. It would give anyone a second thought about approaching him.
