"We'll be home by 11 got it? Girls don't get in trouble! Especially you Sunny, no going around in your sister's clothes pretending to be her and messing with poor Mr and Mrs Shearp's heads. Violet, I expect you to be responsible after all you're the older twin."
I had heard this so many times I knew it off by heart at this point. Next Sunny would be coming in with a retaliation. Then mum would tell us any chores we needed to get done. To which Sunny and I would push her out the door so she could go do whatever adults do.
"Only by three seconds! Mum, I told you to stop calling Violet older we are like the same age, seconds don't matter." There was Sunny's retaliation. Next was chores.
"Remember to take out the bins and could you two be amazing and put out the washing for me. It should be done in about thirty minutes, please. Also, I bought a few games at a garage sale. They are sitting on the table. Oh, yea Miss Jalal said Ezekiel would also be over at around one-ish so just wait to play the games. That one came, I think it's pronounced Kaydes? Looks like that game Cluedo you both really like. Are you sure you're both going to be okay? I can skip on this, it's not like I want to be there anyway."
This is where we push mum out of the house then lock the door so she can't come back. When she finally left I decided to check out this game.
I wasn't going to play until Ezekiel visited, but from the premise of the blurb and a skim of the rules, it was one of those detective games.
