Blinking away the haze of disorientation, I found myself sprawled on the floor of what used to be my coffee shop. However, the familiar surroundings had been replaced by a chaotic scene of destruction and devastation. The once-cozy atmosphere had been replaced by a pile of ruins and debris, with remnants of my beloved shop scattered around me.
But it wasn't just my shop that had been affected. As I staggered to my feet, I surveyed the surrounding area, only to be met with the sight of buildings either destroyed or half-collapsed, resembling a scene straight out of a disaster movie. The gravity of the situation began to sink in, and a sense of dread washed over me as I realized the scale of the catastrophe that had befallen our neighborhood. Questions raced through my mind, tried to curse aloud only to fail as not even a single word came out of my mouth.
"Huh, what's going on?" I muttered, the words echoing in the eerie silence of the destroyed landscape. Instinctively, I reached for my throat, intending to speak, only to realize two unsettling truths: first, I had no throat to speak of, and second, I didn't need to breathe.
As panic threatened to overwhelm me, I glanced down at the rest of my body, only to be met with a chilling sight. My once-flesh-and-blood form had been reduced to a skeletal frame, devoid of any semblance of life. Horror coursed through me as I grappled with the realization of my own demise.
Questions swirled in my mind, but amidst the chaos and devastation, one thing became painfully clear: I was no longer among the living.

Seeing my new status I was left with my jaw on the ground literally as it fell off causing me to quickly pick it up as I tried to reach it which seemed to work as it clicked quietly back into place.
'What the hell is going on?' I thought to myself, amidst the desolate silence that enveloped the ruined landscape. Slowly, I extricated myself from the debris and rubble that had once been my shop, my bony form moving with an eerie grace.
With each step, I scanned the surroundings, searching for any signs of life or explanation for the devastation that surrounded me. Occasionally, my gaze drifted towards the ocean, its once serene surface now tinged with an unsettling green hue that mirrored the smog-covered sky above. The sun struggled to penetrate the thick layer of pollution, casting a dim pall over the scene and shrouding everything in darkness.
As I continued to navigate through the destruction, a sense of unease gnawed at me. What had caused this cataclysmic event? And more importantly, was there any hope of finding answers or salvation in this desolate wasteland?
'First, let's find a way to level up so I don't die,' I resolved grimly, my thoughts focused on survival. With determination coursing through my skeletal form, I scanned the debris-strewn landscape for any sign of danger or opportunity.
Spotting a nearby piece of rebar with a small slab of concrete attached to it, I seized upon it, recognizing its potential as a makeshift club. Despite its weight feeling cumbersome to my now frail and weakened state, I knew it could serve as a valuable tool for self-defense in this hostile environment.
