Chapter 71: Diamond ring

Nikki Emerald squinted her eyes towards Kristofer Almodiel. She didn't visualize that a day like this would ever come but there he was.

In the privacy of her office, Kristofer Almodiel asked Nikki to spare him her five minutes.

His five minutes was becoming three and yet the only sentence he had said was to help him.

"Nikki drummed her fingers on her desk.

"Well? Cat got your tongue Mister Almodiel?"

Kristofer folded his arms across his chest.

"Please, just Kristofer."

"Just Kristofer, if you don't spill in the next minute what you wanted my help for, I'll have to ask you to leave."

"I don't know where to begin."

  "I don't have a clue what you wanted so. Sadly, I cannot put the word in your mouth."

With a sigh, Kristofer cleared his throat. It was now or never.

"I have a tiny favor to ask/"

Nikki Emerald was suddenly curious."

"Stop dancing around circles, Mister. Don't make me ask once again."
