Chapter 713: Sign From Above

As night descended, the lively atmosphere in the house subsided, and the newly bonded pair retreated to He Juan's bedroom. Even though it had been vacated for five days, the room still appeared clean and well-maintained, proving that someone had come in to take care of it regularly. 

Both Mu Yuze and He Juan were so exhausted that they simply took a short warm shower together before collapsing to bed, arms around each other with legs intertwined intimately beneath the cozy blanket. Mu Yuze nestled his ear against He Juan's chest, listening to the man's rhythmic and powerful heartbeat as if it was his favorite lullaby. Despite the fatigue dragging down on his eyelids, sleep continued to elude him.

All of a sudden, he felt a gentle touch of familiar lips on his crown, then He Juan's low voice echoed above him, "Can't sleep?"

Mu Yuze let out a non-committal hum, "You too, Gege."
