Chapter 77: Acting...Fake

Lu Jingyi couldn't help but laughed inside. They walked hand in hand watching the scenery at the street before going back.

The street was decorated beautifully to attract people for coming to the night market. After they were tired walked, they went home.

Morning.

In an office, a man was busying reading documents that needed his signature. He was very tired looking at all the documents. He wanted to skip work and go out to have fun to take some break.

But he promised not to cause a lot of troubles for his employees. And he meant it. Although he wanted to skip work, he didn't want to slack off to make troubles for his assistant that he has been feeling guilty of.

The sound of the door opened when Wang Jiasi was about to finished reading his documents. Assistant Ye came in and put a stack of documents on the table.

Looking at the newly stack documents he needed to look at, Wang Jiasi almost wanted to bang his head to the wall.

How much more work did he need to do? Was this all the work that he skipped before?

He regretted, utterly regretted by his laziness and slacking off. He should have diligently settled the documents in the past so that he will had time to take a break.

But now, he has to finish all these documents before he could go out and have fun.

"Sir, here is your coffee."

"Oh, thank you. Sigh."

Wang Jiasi was a bit lazy and tired in responding to Assistant Ye. She knew that he would be tired, so she poured some coffee for him.

"Sir, do you have an appointment with Miss Lan?"

"Lan Xing? No. Why?"

"Miss Lan was in the lobby claiming to have an important thing to dicuss with you personally. Do you want to invite Miss Lan inside?"

Wang Jiasi was thinking. Why did she come here? He should find out what she's planning to do.

"Okay, invite her in."

"Yes, sir."

Soon, Lan Xing arrived. Assistant Ye knocked on the door and reported. She then gestured Lan Xing to go inside. When Assistant Ye was about to leave, she heard Wang Jiasi called her.

"Ruyi, you don't need to go. I still need help with the documents."

"Yes, sir."

Assistant Ye was confused but she did what he tell her to. Lan Xing was irritated inside. It was supposed to be a private conversation. She knew Wang Jiasi did it on purpose.

"Oh, Lan Xing. Sorry, I have a lot of work to do. I can discuss while working. So, what is it that you want coming here?"

Lan Xing put on her gentle smile and talked.

"Brother Jiasi, can you help me in inviting Brother Xuan to have dinner with me?"

"Why? Can't you do it yourself? Or, you did something unforgivable that Bro Xuan ignored you?"

Lan Xing knew what he talked about. She suppressed her anger and clenched her fist to clamed down.

"I just wanted to apologize to Brother Xuan. I know I was wrong. I had been repenting myself for my wrongdoings. Please help me, Brother Jiasi."

Lan Xing purposely made her eyes squeezed out some tears to make her pleading looked real and sincere. Unfortunately, Wang Jiasi was not interested in her self-acting.

Assistant Ye by his side, felt like she was watching a drama. Miss Lan's acting were quite....fake. How did she become an actress?
