Chapter 14: Thank Him
Lu Jingyi was really happy spending time with them. She never had more than one friend. Next time, she should introduce Xu Wenwen to them. She's sure that Xu Wenwen would fit right in just fine.
After lunch, they decided to end it after a long chatting.
"Thank you so much for inviting me. I had a wonderful time. Next time, I will bring my best friend to meet you all. I'm sure all of you will like her."
Lu Jingyi sincerely thanked them and it was the best day she had recently.
"What are you talking about, Sister-in-law? No need to thank us. We look forward to meet your friend. And if you want to thank us, hehe, how about go on a date with Xuan?"
Wang Jiasi was grinning widely at Lu Jingyi blushing face.
"Stop teasing her, moron. But hey, he's right. Jingyi, you should spend more time with your fiancé, I, no, we guarantee you he would treat you very well."
Chen Lili tried to help Mo Zhexuan strengthen their relationship and hoped to have Mo Zhexuan owe her a favor.
"Um.. Ok. Still, thank you."
Still feeling embarrassed of what they said, Lu Jingyi tried to hide it by forcing a smile.
After that, they all bid goodbye to each other and went their seperate ways.
When Lu Jingyi got home, she kept thinking about what Chen Lili said. Mo Zhexuan will treat her well.
Was it because she's his fiancée? But they met a few times only. Would he suddenly treat some stranger very well when they only met a few times?
Lu Jingyi shook her head and stop thinking about the reason but instead how to thank him.
After all, she figured that it was him who organized the meeting between her and his friends. Even though it was just a hunch, she still wanted to thank him.
Should she invite him to eat? Should she cook or invite him to eat outside? Wait. What food did he like to eat?
She should text Wang Jiasi about it after she showered.

She prepared to cook him some homecook food. Today, Father Lu was coming home late. It was a great opportunity to not let Father Lu know what she's doing. She also ask Butler Li and the maids to keep it a secret.
For now, she had to call and confirm if Mo Zhexuan would accept her invitation. After a few rings, the call got through. She got his number from Wang Jiasi.
"Um... Hello, Lu Jingyi here. I like to ask if you're busy after work. I want to invite you to dinner if that's ok."
Lu Jingyi's heart was beating rapidly as she talked.
"Sure. Where?"
"My house. I'm going to cook."
"I'll be there. What time should I be there?"
"Seven in the evevning."
"Okay. See you soon."
Lu Jingyi was happy as she went to the kitchen to make his favourite food. It's been awhile that she cooked for anyone else.
She never cooked for Bai Liancheng even though they dated for four years.
For some reason, she was excited for Ml Zhexuan's arrrival here. There was feeling where she wanted to reach him closer but the reason was unknown to her.

Evening arrived fast. Mo Zhexuan arrived at seven sharp. Butler Li escorted him to the dining table.
The table was full of his favorite food. He was suprised at first because he never thought she would know his favorite food. But then again, she must have ask his friends about it.
