Chapter 137: A bitter baby - IV

The door was on the other side of the room and the bed was in between to where Salvatore stood. 

Just as Salvatore crossed her, average shot up from her seat and moved to him. She held his elbow before making him halt. 

"Please," she begged, "please listen to me. I'm not-I am not lying—"

"Don't touch me!" He held sharply at her as he thugged his arm away, making Evelyn stumbled back at the force of it. 

"Don't touch me," Salvatore focused on each and every word as he gritted them out, "don't touch me ever again, Evelyn. I am too fucking angry to deal with this and you don't want me to act out now." 

Evelyn didn't. 

Evelyn did not want to be on the receiving end of it more than she already was. 

So, she let him walk out of the room and flinched when he slammed the door closed. Her body was when she heard the lock click in. 

She had been locked inside the room.
