Chapter 1: Chapter 1
What a beautiful day. Opening the window with the calming breeze blowing all around me.
"Sigh."
Smiling at what? I have no idea. I grabbed my adventure bag and ran out the door.
"Where do you think you're going?"
"Gasp."
I turned to see my mother looking at me with a mad expression on her face.
"I am going to go outside to play."
"I am sorry but I am not allowing you to go outside." "You have a lot of chores that need to be done right now and then you can go outside."
Mother handed me a list of things that have to be done.
"This is going to take all day long."
"Well then you should get to it then."
"Wait mother, today is my eighteenth birthday." "Do you think I could skip the chores today and do them tomorrow?"
"What are you talking about?" "You know the rules, you are to do all of your chores and then you can do whatever you want."
I watched as she walked away. This is not fair. It's my eighteenth birthday and I can't even go out. I am a grown young adult and I should be able to do whatever I want to. Wait that's it? I can leave because I am eighteen. That is the age I can do whatever I want to and my mother can't say anything about it.
I grabbed my bag and ran out the door as the breeze welcomed me blowing my hair all around I ran as fast as I could into the woods.
"What adventure awaits me today?" "What will I find on my advencher?"
It's very quiet in the woods today. Usually there are birds singing, frogs croaking, and even animals running around.
"Growl."
"Gasp."
I turned around as fast I could to see a wolf walking around me. This can't be just any wolf, it's way too big unless there are big wolves around here but I don't remember anyone talking about bigger wolves.
"Hi Mr. wolf please don't hurt me I promise I won't hurt you or anything out here I just want to have a look around because I love to explore."
"Growl."
The wolf is not happy with me at all. Maybe I should just leave.
"I am sorry for making you mad." "I will leave and go somewhere else to explore."
I started to walk away and I could feel the wolf staring at me. It sent shivers down my spine. At least he let me live.
"Sigh."
I hope the wolf is calmed down now that I am gone. I hate making animals scared that they have to get aggressive.
"Howl!"
What in the name of Sam Peat is going on? I listened and heard animals running in my direction.
"Oh sh*t."
I started running for my life. I can hear them catching up to me. I am going to die today.
"Howl!" "Growl."
"Ahhhh."
I tripped and fell flat on my face I turned on my back the wolf was towering over me I looked over to see more wolves like ten more yep this is my last day on earth I look up to face the wolf this is the same wolf that growled at me earlier.
"What is your problem?" "I said I was sorry for making mad at me but this is ridiculous." "I walked away just like I said I would and here we are not even five minutes later and you bring some of your pack members." "I mean what the hell?"
What in the world am I doing? I am going to get myself killed faster if I keep this up but for some reason it feels like I need to get my own anger out. I glared at the wolf with a lot of hate. That's when the wolf grabbed me with his mouth gently grabbing my hand and I followed him. I wonder where he is taking me? As we walked I could see a big house come into view. We walked inside a big room and it looked like we were going to meet the king and queen of the pack. I watched as the wolves all bowed down and I did the same. But when I stood back up I saw two people in the king and queen chairs.
"Why have you brought a human back to our pack?"
Human? What is going on here? I looked outside to see a full moon. That's when pain shot through my whole body I fell to the floor in pain. I could see all of the wolves and people looking at me. What is happening to me? I felt my body heating up, my heart beat going fast, and my bones cracking. Once the pain was gone I looked around to see everyone in shock.
"Growl?"
My what came out in a growl. Oh no! I looked at my feet that are now paws, same with my hands, and my body is all covered in fur.
"Whimper."
I look at the king and queen. What's going to happen to me now?
"You are a wolf?" "Omega put her with the other Omega wolves." "She can start her work tomorrow."
What? Work? What in the world?
"But Luna she is not.."
"She is an Omega." "Now bring her to the Omega house and let them know they have a new member."
What? So if she is a Luna that means that the man by her side is the Alpha and that means that I am a werewolf like everyone here. Wait, everyone here is a werewolf? How did my eighteenth birthday turn into a big welcome party? I followed the wolves to the Omegas house when I was shot with a doctor's needle then everything went black. When I woke up it was already morning.
"Maggy she is finally awake."
"Well that's good but now we have to get things ready for the pack so get her some clothes and show her how things are done around here."
"Come with me."
I followed the nice lady to a closet full of rages.
"Wait, do I have to wear rags?"
"Well we don't call them rags we call them old clothes that no one wants."
"This is ridiculous." "Why are we treated so poorly?"
"You must be quiet if anyone hears you, you will be in so much trouble with the Alpha and Luna."
I rolled my eyes and grabbed a rag from the closet. I walked into the bathroom and got ready for the day but since my clothes I had on yesterday disappeared I have to make due with these rags until I can find something better.
"I never did get your name."
"Oh sorry my name is Ava."
"It's nice to meet you Ava." "My name is Chloe."
I followed Ava into the kitchen.
"What are we supposed to be doing again?"
"We are to do all of the food making and house cleaning."
"So us Omegas are slaves to everyone higher then us in ranking?" "That is so not how you treat someone."
I can feel my anger rising.
"Please be quiet everyone is asleep right now we are just here to make breakfast and leave as fast as we can."
"No we shouldn't be scared for our lives, we should be able to live our lives to the fullest."
"Please be quiet if not for the pack for me."
"Sigh." "OK I will be quiet for you."
We got to work making breakfast for everyone.
"So since we are done what do we do now?"
"We go do cleaning for the pack."
"Wait, I have a question: is there a son or daughter to the Alpha and Luna?"
"Yes his name is Liam."
"Thank you."
I grabbed a plate of food and walked until I found the door with Liam's name on it.
"Knock." "Housekeeping."
I tried to hold back a laugh with what I just said.
"Go away, it's too early in the morning for you to be coming to my room."
"Knock." "Housekeeping I come in to clean?"
I can't believe I am doing this. What is wrong with me?
"That's it whoever you are, prepare yourself."
I open the door to see a young girl with one brown and one blue eye.
"Who are you?"
"Housekeeping."
This time I couldn't help but laugh at the way he looked at me.
"What is so funny?" "You wake me up just to laugh at me?" "Do you know who I am?"
"Yes I know exactly who you are you are someone who doesn't care what happens to the lowest of everyone here I mean look at what I am wearing I am wearing rages not just that but we Omegas have to do everything for you and all of the others who are higher in ranking then us that is just cruel."
I took the plate I was holding and threw the food at him.
"Now if you will excuse me I have to do all of the cleaning with the other Omegas."
I walked back into the kitchen.
"What did you do?"
"Oh I just brought the Alphas son some breakfast and might I say he really had enough food it was all over him."
"Really?"
"Anyway don't we have some cleaning to do?"
I followed Ava to the cleaning shed.
"This is where we will stay until the pack leaves the house."
"Why?" "Can't we just go and clean now?"
"No we must not, if we go now we will be punished for being seen."
"I am not scared to be punished."
I grabbed the cleaning supplies and walked into the house. I can hear the members of the packing talking as I walked by the kitchen and into the living room. I started to clean.
"What do you think you are doing here at this time?"
I looked to see Alpha and Luna staring at me.
"Housekeeping."
I couldn't hold back my laughter when I saw their faces.
"Do you think this is some kind of joke, Omega?"
"Yes Alpha I do see this as a joke and you want to know why?"
"By all means why?"
"I am glad you asked, it's because people like you make me sick."
I've seen both of their expressions change from mad to angry mad. Oh sh*t I have really done it this time.
"Guards take her to the dungeon she will get one hundred lashes for disrespecting the Alpha and Luna."
"Is that all you got?"
I felt the guards grab me.
"Don't get your hands off of me." "You have no right to be doing this to your own pack just because us Omegas are lower in ranking then you doesn't give you the right to make us slaves to your own will."
"Is that how you want to play it two hundred lashes."
Two hundred lashes he has got to be kidding but by the way his face says it all. I heard someone walking into the room.
"I thought I heard a familiar voice." "You are the one who brought me breakfast."
Damn I didn't expect this to happen.
"You know this girl?"
"Yes father she came to my room this morning telling me what she wanted me to hear and then giving me my breakfast." "What did she do to get you both angry?"
"She doesn't think we should treat her and the other Omegas like slaves."
"Yep, so she has two hundred lashes."
"Are you insane?" "That is going to kill her."
"Well we did only say one hundred but then she asked if that is all we got so that made it another hundred."
"I can't believe you two."
I watched as Liam walked away. The guards grabbed me again but I pushed them off of me.
"You guys really need to have stronger body guards then this I mean come on they can't even take me down and they are men."
I walked out of the room back to the Omega house.
"What the hell were you thinking?"
"Hi Maggy, it's nice to see you." "I just did what I thought was right."
"I am sorry kiddo we have to take you back to the pack house so they can give you the punishment."
"You're kidding me right?" "They are evil, why would you listen to them?"
"Please Chloe don't make this hard on yourself or on us." "We just want to live in peace and this is the only way we can."
"Fine but you know I won't give up that easily."
"Trust me honey you will after getting lashed."
The Omegas tightened my wrist with rope and walked me back to the pack. I hope this is worth it.
"Thank you Omegas, you will be treated with food tonight."
"So you don't let us eat either." "What is wrong with you people?" "Well I am glad that I could help out my Omega family."
I followed behind Alpha and Luna.
"Since you thought you could just walk away you will be punished in front of everyone."
"Ok sounds far to me."
The moon came out and I was awaiting my lashes as I watched pack members come and sit down in the bleachers. This is so bad on their part because who in the right mind makes a game out of lashes?
"Tonight we have an Omega who has done wrong so she will be receiving two hundred lashes."
I listened as the pack members started to talk saying that I was not going to live but they don't know what I have been through. I spotted Liam in the bleachers as well, he looked right at me with hate in his eyes. What did I ever do to him? Well I mean besides spilling food all over him. Not just that but he was mad at his parents for giving me two hundred lashes.
"Whip."
Now it begins.
It took three wolves to give me two hundred lashes and I am still standing I am not going to lie I am feeling dizzy and my vision is going blurry but other then that I feel fine. I can hear the pack whispering as I fainted.
