Chapter 66: Chapter 65.2

"Hondou, I explained it before, didn't I? Points are wired to student's accounts on the first day of the month, every month. They were wired without any problems this month as well."

Looking at the bowl-cut haircut, Chabashira-sensei spoke frankly as if to leave no room for question.

"Even if you say that, none of the students in the class got any points, let alone one hundred thousand."

The students in the class looked at one another, and some students who had already spent all of their points were obviously more concerned than the rest.

"… Are you guys really that stupid?"

Chabashira sensei looked at the crowd and did not appear as easy-going as usual.

"Stupid? What?

"Sit down Hondou. I'll explain it again."

When she patted the table, the look in her eyes was a little creepy, scaring the boy.

"S-sae-chan sensei?"

The other students had also never seen Chabashira-sensei like this.

"I don't want to have to repeat this, so listen up close. Points were deposited. Without fail. The likelihood that this class was left out is very low. Do you understand?"

Her harsh words resounded in the class, while Chabashira's expression was blank.

"No, even if I say I do understand, we haven't received our points…"

Some of the students still wanted to struggle, but their attempts were very soon interrupted by another voice.

The second-generation rich boy in the class, the all too provocative Rokosuke Koenji placed his feet on the table and spoke boisterously.

"Hahaha, I see, it was like that, teacher. I've understood this riddle now. Isn't this just a very simple matter? It means that in the eyes of the school, class D didn't deserve any points."

When these words came out, many of the students became frightened.

If they were just being punished for a month's worth of mistakes, that would be fine, but if the upper management thought that they had problems, then their lives would be miserable over the next few years.

"Hah? What's that supposed to mean? They said we'd get 100,000 points every month…Chabashira sensei?"

Watching Chabashira's confirmation of Koenji's deduction, the students in the class who had already spent all their points stood up and became especially rowdy, including the kids in the corner of the class where Ike, Yamauchi and the others were sitting.

The way the look on their faces changed made Ying Ye Zhenshi unbelievably delighted.

'Yes, yes, that's it.'

Just from having seen this scene, Ying Ye felt like he was getting a s year's worth of entertainment in one go.

Seeing them like this gave Ying Ye Zhenshi a different kind of satisfaction, not any less than when Kushida Kikyo was cornered by him.

Thinking about their inevitable hostility towards him in the future, he was looking forward to it.

'What methods should I use to make them drop out?'

"I don't remember sensei ever saying something like that, right?"

The class became chaotic following Kouenji's words, but the arrogant boy didn't care and continued to lay the facts down recklessly.

He apparently didn't pay attention to this little personal point debacle in the class.

"Your attitude has some problems Kouenji, but what he is saying is on the right track. Not many people seem to have noticed my hint. How sad."

Following Koenji's words, Chabashira-sensei gave her input.

When speaking, she looked over at Ying Ye Zhenshi, her eyes full of resentment.

Apparently she already knew everything.

Feeling his sensei's gaze on him, Ying Ye Zhenshi suddenly got a bad feeling.

He suspected that this female teacher of his had some bad thoughts about him.

'Women really are little demons. Kushida-sensei, please save me!'

He couldn't help but look at Kushida beside him.

The girl was still pretending, looking at the podium pitifully, and looking back at him pitifully too.

If he didn't know the actual situation, he would have thought that the girl really didn't know anything.

'Sure enough, what my mother said was right. The more beautiful the girl, the better she is at deception.'

The atmosphere in the class became more and more gloomy.

It was completely unacceptable that the number of points they would get had changed from 100,000 points to not even 10.

It was like going from heaven to hell in one fell swoop.

"… Sensei, can I ask a question? There's something I still don't understand.

"Please tell me why we didn't get any points. If that's not possible, we can never understand."

The representative of the class, Hirata, raised his hand.

If he could make a change by fighting for it, even tens of thousands of points would be fine instead of the 100,000.

"118 total absences and tardies. 456 incidences of talking or using cell phones in class. I counted every infraction. In this school, your class performance is reflected in the amount points received. As a result of your behaviour, the 100,000 points you could've gotten went down the drain. That's all that happened. I explained this all on the day of the entrance ceremony. That this school measures the abilities of its students. This time around, you guys were valued to be worth 0. There's nothing more than that."

Chabashira-sensei talked mechanically, without any emotion.

People in the class were shocked by this thorough data, while some others were recording the specifics of this evaluation.

But in this situation, that was all useless.

"Chiyabashira-sensei, I don't remember ever hearing that explanation before…"

Hirata resisted.

"What? Are you people incapable of understanding without any explanations?"

Chabashira said unexpectedly.

Naturally. There was no mention of reducing the number of points transferred to us at the beginning of each month. If it was explained before, I'm sure that we would've tried not to be late and not to talk during class."

Hirata fought hard, hoping that the zero-point evaluation could be cancelled somehow.

But his efforts were directly dismissed by Chabashira coldly.

"An interesting argument, Hirata. I also don't remember explaining the rules about the points received at the beginning of each month. However, haven't you guys learned not to talk in class and get to class on time since elementary school?"

"That is…"

"I'm pretty sure you guys have learned. In the 9 years of compulsory education, they've always told you that such things are frowned upon. Talking in class and being late to class is bad. Also, did you say that you couldn't understand because I didn't explain it? That excuse doesn't fly. If you behaved as a student should, your points wouldn't have dropped to 0. It's your own self-responsibility."
