Somewhere within The Spire.
A young man opens his eyes once again.
Wait... again...?
He quickly brainstorms in his mind, searching for answers or anything to distract his thoughts.
William.
His name is William.
He tries to find more of his memories but something seems to be blocking it, like a seal on his soul.
Suddenly, a pain courses through his body and soul, like a trigger warning him not to force it.
'Argh!'
He quickly stops his search and refrains from trying anymore, the only thing useful from that agonizing search is... a scene of himself standing before what seems to be a gigantic heart with it's body connected to the ceiling, floor and walls.
'The Spire...'
A name echoes deep inside his head as he holds his head with both of his hands.
'My name is William, and all I've remembered is the scene of The Heart Of The Spire.'
He looks around his surroundings and finds a sign that reads.
Floor 0.
He feels a strange sense of nostalgia, even though he have never seen it before.
He walks into the room ahead of him, and sees a giant whale looking creature with three yellow-green eyes.
He walks in front of it and nervously prepares to fight.
The three eyed whale suddenly speaks to him.
(You are here... Slayer of this cycle...)
William looks at it in confusion.
"What do you mean? Slayer? This cycle?" He asks.
(I am Neow...)
Neow replies without answering his questions.
Then it speaks again, as if it can't hear him.
(Choose...)
Suddenly, a ding sounds and five lines of words appears in front of him.
[Choose your Beginner's Bonus]
[1. Enemies are significantly weakened for 3 floors.]
[2. Gain 8 Max HP.]
[3. Gain 100 Gold.]
[4. None.]
William freezes in place and he stares at his options.
'What is this...? Beginner's Bonus?'
'Hmm... What should I choose?'
He thinks for a while, before suddenly smiling mysteriously.
'If it's what I think it is, then I'll definitely pick that one.'
He silently makes his mind and picks...

All of the rows of words fade into nothing and Neow speaks again.
(Granted...)
He feels confused for a moment.
"What got over me? Why did I suddenly choose that?"
Before he can start to panic, a whole wall of words bombards him with information.
