Chapter 2: Chapter 2

"Huff... Huff..." Inside the wilderness, a lady with tattered and blooded clothes huffed with great exhaustion. Her face was pale She held a wooden staff that looked like a magic staff used on movies and anime. She cut a sorry figure, but still, could not hide her voluptuous curves.

But the most striking part was the deep wound on her stomach. It looked like it was grazed by a blunt weapon. Oddly, blood did not gush out from the terrible wound.

Still, even with that wound, she only showed exhaustion and not a trace of pain.

She stopped and suddenly, her eyes glowed with blue light and she tilted her head towards her east. The lady smiled in relief and headed in that direction.

...

"Amazing..." Cade murmured to himself, speechless. In all his life, he had never seen anything like that before.

With just a stone hammer and a brief look at the blueprint, it only took exactly 10 minutes for Thorin, the Builder to finish building the Gold Storage.

It looked extremely easy and simple. Just some simple assembly and ticks of his STONE hammer, a Gold Storage was created. It looked even easier as Thorin just smiled in that whole process.

"Thank you, sir." Cade bowed slightly. Respect!

In-game, it only took 1 minute to build a level gold storage, but now, it took Thorin 10 minutes. This further confirmed it that this is the real-life, and not some fantasy game.

Seeing something in the game was different in real life.

"No problem, Boss." Still, with a smile, Thorin waved his large hand, but this time, there was a tinge of relief in them. As if he was relieved seeing Cade's attitude towards him.

And from the looks of it, Thorin is unable to see the screen monitor floating in front of Cade.

"If you don't mind, can you do another one?" Cade asked politely. No shit. Even if he happened to not like the man, Cade would not dare to get into the Builder's bad side. After all, he could still recall watching a video of the builder leaving the village after he finally had enough.

"Boss, please don't be too polite. I barely did anything today, please make sure that the money you used to hire me would be worth it." As they say, 'You respect me, I respect you', simple as that.

"Hire? Can you tell me how much I hired you? I kinda forgot." Cade scratched his head, pretending to be some kind of sage. He knew that it was the System, he just wanted to know how long Thorin would be hired for.

"250 Gemstones and I'll work for you for 25 years. Don't tell me..." As if realizing something, Thorin's cheesy smile was suddenly wiped off, replaced by anxiousness, fear and... menace!

"Ahaha, don't worry, I won't be going back on my promise! I just forgot about it, really..." Cade replied immediately. He was not an idiot to be unable to figure out that the System made a deal with Thorin.

"Good to know that, Boss!" As if nothing happened, Thorin's cheesy smile returned.

"You can just call me Cade, sir." Cade smiled politely, he then paid attention to the screen and started tapping. He bought the materials and blueprint of the Elixir Storage, located it to be also be built right beside the Elixir Collector.

The Gold Storage cost him 250 Elixir and the Elixir Storage also cost him 250 Gold so both his resources were reduced to a third in an instant. Don't forget that he also has 500 Gemstones.

"I can't call you that if you keep calling me 'sir', Boss," Thorin replied cheekily.

"Haha, okay then, Thorin. That is my next job for you." With a chuckle, Cade pointed at the pile of materials besides the Elixir Collector.

"Right away, Cade." Thorin then ignored Cade and moved to build the Elixir Storage.

Cade also did not mind and tapped on the screen when he noticed that the Experience Icon had a red [1] on it. From the looks of it, he just went up a level.

But suddenly, the border of the screen blinked red continuously.

"Caution! One unidentified lifeform just entered the domain." Appeared on the screen.

After that, the screen suddenly started operating on its own and it zoomed towards the west of the map. There, Cade saw a lady with gray hair slowly moving towards their location. When he tried tapping on the picture of the lady, 3 options appeared. Unidentified, Enemy, Friend. And the woman was

"Is it an attack? Mmh. She looks injured. Hey System, can you adjust the angle." Cade said subconsciously and the screen really changed to what he wanted to do.

The angle changed and Cade could now see her clearly. The definition was perfect as it captured even the tiniest movement of grass clearly and perfectly.

It seems that he could also control the system by manual, vocal, and mental commands. It was quite convenient and time saver.

"Those wounds... just how is it possible for her to be alive?" It was already clear that the woman was not simple at all. Any person would have died or bled out and died, but the lady he was watching was sure to not be ordinary at all.

"Is she a mage?" Cade zoomed closely to the staff that looked like a wand. This was also one of the reasons why he did not dare to go and help the woman.

He was not an innocent and ignorant person that would carelessly take action. He had watched and read enough movies, anime, manga and web novels to learn that beautiful women are dangerous. Furthermore, the lady coming towards them felt even more dangerous.

Cade was so engrossed in observing the woman on the monitor that he forgot that the lady is coming towards them. He hurriedly entered the shop and bought the materials and blueprint for the cannon which cost him another 250 Gold.

Without hesitation, Cade positioned the cannon to be built right in front of the Town Hall.

He looked at the monitor, and Thorin still needed another 5 minutes to build the Elixir Storage. But it also dawned Cane that this is reality, and there are no consequences in canceling or rather, stopping the building process for a moment.

"Thorin! Can you do this one first, it is kind of urgent!" Cade shouted. With the woman's speed, she would be reaching their place in less than 6 minutes. This was also 'thanks' to the system for flattening the land and making it a grassland with only a dozen bush and trees in it.

"Okay." Thorin made his way and started tinkering his hammer with only a brief look at the Cannon blueprint. Although he still had the cheesy smile, Cade still noticed that Thorin looked displeased

'I should hire another Builder later.' Cade thought while paying attention to the woman's every move.

"Boss, it's done." Thorin huffed and returned to building the Elixir Collector.

'Hehe, it looks like I really need to hire a new Builder. This is really amazing. Although it looks ancient, it does feel powerful.' Cade thought while caressing the metallic Cannon. The cannon just looked straight out from the movie, Pirate of the Caribbean. Unfortunately, it was mounted on a wooden platform, otherwise, it would have been cool to roll it around and fire it.

"You have built a Defense building. All Defense Buildings will have infinite ammunition provided by the System."

"Please note that Automatic Firing Mode will only target the closest target that is classified by the host as a target or enemy. You can also turn on the Manual Mode for personal firing."

'Is that so?' He tapped the Cannon in the screen and discovered another new function. Auto and Manual. 'I'll check all the functions later.'

Cade then tapped the cannon and moved it towards the open area. He would be stupid if he believed a cannonball would pass through a building without breaking it.

He stared at the direction the woman was coming from while he also monitored her movements from the screen monitor that's still blinking red in its corners.

Cade waited for the woman as she made his way towards him. After a couple of minutes, the Cannon suddenly rotated on its own, pointing at the upcoming silhouette. Because the target was classified as unidentified, it immediately aimed at the woman.

"Stop! If you don't stop, my lil' buddy here will blow you to pieces!" Cade also shouted. He looked calm, but inside, he was quite nervous.

Hearing the shout, the injured woman stopped and looked at Cade. She looked at the Cannon, but no matter how she looked at it, it did not seem to be dangerous at all. She also checked the surroundings and saw new buildings she had never seen before.

Suddenly, her eyes caught Thorin who was concentrated in building the Elixir Collector and her eyes widened in shock. He looked at Cade again, and as if she came up with a conclusion, she sighed in relief.

With a loud "Thud!" the woman finally collapsed.
