Chapter 1: cocytus

'kuuuu' I relieved compressed air that was traded inside my lungs. frost from my body expelled, and freezing my surroundings as if it was natural.
gi GII GIII?!?
'BE QUITE' my hazy mind felt like it was being pushed together and then squeezed while being pulled apart, it felt like a pain in nevered felt before. wait pain? have I ever felt...pain?
'aarrrg' pain inducing methods was one again used on my mind.
my memories... I can't seem recall anything.

my surroundings,it felt cold but it wasn't painful or uncomfortable, it just felt...normal

'too loud too loud...' I just want silence, I just want to sleep

"SILENCE"
without even knowing my arm subconsciously shot through the air so fast the air surrounding my fist heated up but immediately cooled down and fell torwards the ground
'Bam'
there was a slight silence then followed by pitter patter rain droplets sounds then followed up with high pitched screaming

after clearing my head, I felt fully awake. I began takeing control over my body again, I simulated the nerves in my brains and started going down to the toes.
grasping my hands a couple of times, I started having sense over my body.
after opening my eyes, my dark world turned bright. adjusting to the light, I turned my head sideways and saw a skinny green child approximately 4 feet tall with ugly features in rags.
GIII GI GIIII!!
it screeched in my ears. it was desperately pulling on its legs, trying to pry off its frozen feet from the ground.
our gazes locked, the only thing I saw was fear.
it screamed even louder and desperate. it pulled so hard, the legs broke off of its feet with a loud 'Crack', it wasn't like the sound of branches breaking, it was more of a long thick piece of cold ice being broken into two . it didn't look like it felt any pain because it immediately scurried away on all fours, not even with a trace of blood.
I slowly got up, still getting a feel of my body and looked at the direction of the child who left it's feets behind.
I studied my surroundings, frost covered everything on the ground up till 25meters and right behind me was a headless body of a child that's holding a rusty dagger, and that's almost identical to the now footless child I saw earlier. its pieces of flesh and blood are splatters everywhere assuming that it's apart of its head.
then I looked at myself, blue, almost like sky blue with four arms and a tail too.
what am i?
while in deep thoughts I noticed a weapon on the ground, a silver Halbert with three blades on it, bending over I picked it up and took a few swings. the more I take swings, the more it became apart of me, like limbs I nevered had.
feeling comfortable whith my new weapons I followed the direction the child went.
I walked along the traces of dents in the ground, judging that it was probably from the child running. even though it didn't have any feets it covered a good amount of distance in the short time since I woke up. if one didn't look closely they'd probably think it was a dog that went passed them.

from the side of cocytus hiding behind a tree was Burglar
Burglar was just out here to do an errand but didn't expect to find a monster here. 'dangerous' was his first thought so he immediately hid. he had been in numerous battles and fought a great number of monsters, from these years of experience he began to develope a instic to ruffly judge their strength just from one look at them. knowing that the monster could kill him in a second, Burglar ran away as fast as he could have.

as for cocytus , he ignore the thing that hid behind the tree sensing that it didn't have any malicious intent and went along his way after taking a glance at cocytus.

this child had a good life before, he had a loving family, even though his parents died when he was young, he still has had his kind sister who would always care for him. a friend who was fun to be around and her parents who he thought as family.
but all of them were taking away, one by one.
his friend who had to move away, he couldn't even say good bye but instead had a argument.
when he calmed down he regretted what he did, he thought 'okay, next time we meet I'm going to apologize' was what he was expecting... but then they came.
GoBLiNs
even thinking about them but the child in so much pain and hatred inside his heart, it reworked his brain making his happy memories being replaced with nothing but Revenge.
"I WANT TO KILL GOBLINS, I BEG OF YOU, PLEASE TEACH ME" he poured all of what was left of his strengths into these words. this was the first time he begged on his knees, not even in scary or sad situations would he do this. but this was the only chance on getting Revenge.
'sister please forgive me, but I'll even sell my soul to the devil if that's what it takes'
the sences of his dead sister being violated and killed was still fresh in his mind. his innocence was lost the day the goblins invaded and he didn't plan on getting it back.
looking up at the blue monster while kneeling down, his fingers dug into the ground whith a face full of hatred and determination.
"commen-" the boy didn't hear what the monster said but it looked like it was laughing at him. the boy felt a sharp pain in his heart, he thought the monster saved him from the goblins. the one who he thought was his Saviour was now laughing at him, the boy felt betrayed.
but he also felt angry angry at himself, he thought he was going going to throw away his innocence, yet here he is naively thinking the monster saved him. it hurt him so much to think he'll die in such a pathetic way after he swore Revenge.
the hatred inside him was the only thing keeping him going at the this point. with one last breath he weakly muttered with hatred "gobli-" before passing out.
