Chapter 2: A New Beginning
Blake and Anastasius arrived at the bottom floor of the apartment complex. "Sir Blake and Sir Anastasius we must hurry I just received intel from your sir Blake's father that is if we want to finish your Gene Alteration we must go now. A middle-aged man who has black hair and was wearing a fancy-looking tail coat said to them. "Then come on let's go!" Blake said as he started to run this made Kaosu stumble clearly not expecting Blake to take off like that. The man who's wearing the formal suit pulled out a strange-looking key and pressed it. "Beep!" a sound emerged from one of the cars on the bottom floor. "Woah! this car is sick Blake." Anastasius said as he followed Blake on a sleek black short limousine. Blake looked at Anastasius proudly "Come let's go we have to hurry. You saved for years for this Gene Alteration." Blake said as he opened the door to let them in.
"vroom!" The sound of the engine started and resonated on the floor. " The two boys can't help but look at each other excitedly as they have waited for this moment for years. Because in this age Gene Alteration is a symbol of one's coming of age. The car went out of the building into the bustling streets. The streets were filled with people full of futuristic items. The people were each being guided by the same cube-like thing Anastasius had. But the differences are the cars and other transportation they are now not touching the road at all but are hovering a few inches above it. "What are you gonna get Anastasius?" Blake asked as they were speeding through the bustling city. This made Anastasius think to himself "Hmm I think I'll pick something strong like a lion or a rhino." Anastasius replied. This made Blake eye's sparkle "Wow If you get any of that Gene the other students at school will not look down on you anymore." While they were arriving at the Hospital building to get their Gene Alteration they don't know what kind of danger lies.
A man emerged from an isolated room with only a light bulb in the middle of the room as the source of light. This man slowly walks and towards the middle of the room revealing a man bruised up and injured was tied on a char. "Now tell me where is the gene that you guys hijack from the Royal Family of the Dragorians." The man asked as he pulled out something from his pocket. The man strapped on the chair looked shocked at the man as he pulled out a gun-shaped object. "I'll never tell you where is it. We know that the Dragorians use that Gene so that their Ancestors can be revived." The man strapped to the chair hoarsely said. "I see then it seems I have no choice but to kill you." The man pointed the gun at the injured man's head and pulled the trigger. "Pew!" A thin sound of a laser emerged out of the gun and penetrated the man's skull. "We failed to get the Gene the man didn't budge we tortured him for week." The mysterious man said as he hold pulled out a cube from his pocket. The cube transformed into a face "I see seems like the rebels has started to move" The man from the cube said and vanished.
While that was happening the two had now arrived at the hospital. "Sir Blake and Sir Anastasius we had arrived at the Hospital." The driver said and opened the door for them. "Thank You sir!" Anasrasius said and He and Blake run to the Hospital. "Woah i cant believe we will finally do this." Blake said as they entered the building and approached the reception desk. "Sir we have a schedule here to have a Gene Alteration." Blake said to the man on the reception desk. "Ohh hello I see you have a schedule please tell me whats the doctors name and what are your names?" The man answered kindly. "Well we have an appointment with Dr. Hisiro and our name is Blake Goldenday and Anastasius." Blake said while Anastasius just grinned besides him. The man typed their name on a computer that looks like is made from glass. "I see. Dr.Hisiro is now ready for you two at the third floor and room 23." The man at the reception said. "Thank you!" Anastasius said as they now when to the elevator. 'Ding!' the elevator arrived and they stepped in along with a man who looked like nervous as he was looking around aimlessly. Blake punched the elevator number for the third floor and turned around to the man. "Sir what's your floor?" This made the jumped a little in surprise. "Ah! yes don't worry boy I'm going to same floor as you guys." The man answered clearly sweats are dripping down on his forehead.
'Ding!' the elevator door opened and the three of them stepped out. Blake and Anastasius were heading straight down the corridor while the man went left. "Phew I made it this far. Now all I have to do is put this Gene to the lab so that my other colleague can pick it up later." He said as he pulled out from his pocket is metal counter with a glass piece in the middle and it was glowing in red and golden streaks. But while he was busy thinking to himself 'Bam!' the man collided with a nurse 'Clank clank' "Hey! watch were you going this Gene Modules cost a ton if my genes and the one your delivering to the lab gets destroyed well be both in big trouble." The Nurse said as he picked up his Gene leaving the man to pick up the Gene Modules he was carrying. "Sorry" The nervous man said as he hurriedly pick us his own Gene Module and started to walk faster. The Nurse jus looked at him weirdly "What a weird guys I cant recognize him. Maybe he is new around here" she said as she went on her way to the room 23.
While that happened Blake and Anastasius already entered the room 23 and what they saw there was astonishing two pods were stationed in the middle of the room and they're connected to a bunch of machines throughout the room. "Woah!" both of them exclaimed as they were amazed at the stuff inside the room. "So you must me Blake and Anastasius." A middle aged man snapped them out of awestruck expression. "Hello Dr. Hisiro" Blake said as they greeted the man named Hisiro. "I see now that you are guys are here why don't you guys take of your clothes and change in this one so that we can start your Gene Alteration." Dr, Hisiro said as he handed them clothes that looked like black spandex. While that was happening the nurse from earlier now entered carrying two Gene Modules. One gave off a Blueish glow while the other one is a Red with yellow streaks kind of a glow. The boys blushed as the nurse saw them changing. "Dont be embarrassed cause now I'll do a basic introduction to you guys about the Genes we are gonna insert to you." Dr. Hisiro said this made the boy's eyes sparkle. The nurse guided them to the pods and as they lay there "Now Blake this Gene of yours is slightly special because this is a Gene of a Bennu your father paid a hefty sum to get this. And this Bennu is special cause it will work splendidly with your gene of an eagle." Dr Hisiro sounded off in the pods. This made Blake pump his fist and looked at Anastasius. "While you Anastasius we had researched what gene will be beneficial to your body and I'll say this now your Gene that compatible to your body is a Draco. This gene is progenitor of lizards like igguanas and may give you heighthend sight and speed." This news made Anastasius a little bit sad because of all the genes he got is the Draco a lizard. "Its ok Anastasius it may be belonging to the subrank but the Gene only served as a catalyst for the user what important is your own hard work." Blake encouraged. "Yeah your right!" Anastasius who now was a little bit happier said. The doctor now inserted the tube into the machine. The two boys closed their eyes as they were feeling like something hot is slowly crawling up there body. But what Anastasius didn't know is the gene he is receiving now is not a Gene from the Draco but of much more powerful.
