"Fraye! Boot up the max parameter set up that you made! I can't handle Charles together with five fighter planes!" Reynald shouted with haste in his tone and a huff from exhaustion as he maneuvered his machine after transforming back into fighter plane mode.
He then started moving erratically so that it would be harder to target him while also avoiding being attacked by Char.
"Okay! Here it goes! Don't transform until I say so! Or we might die!" Fraye shouted with worry as she carefully braced herself because of the erratic flight.
"Tsk, what the hell is Rey doing? Have you given up resisting and just wanted to do everything you can to dodge and run?" Char thought out loud as he tried his best to follow up just behind Rey no matter what.
This circumstances only lasted a few seconds though.
"It's fine now!" Fraye shouted excitedly as she tightened her hold and secured her position more.
As soon as Rey heard that, he quickly steadied his knightmare frame for a moment so that he can do some trick play.
This steadying of Rey was seen by everyone following him and they took this opportunity without thinking too much.
Specially Char, he burst out the maximum speed for straight movement of his knightmare frame.
Followed by all the fighter planes.
Rey had already expected that from them as he knows what type of fighter Char is, he is a full blown assault guy who likes overwhelming his opponents with none stop offensives.
He will definitely make chances to attack even when his position suits defending more.
But that's what they did wrong!
When they are almost touching Rey's knightmare frame, it suddenly bursted out more speed than ever before!
Char had just transformed so that he can attack while the other five fighters had just managed to lock onto Rey's machine.
That burst of speed quickly made some distance between the two parties in just a moment.
Char had his mouth with open from the shock together with wide and dilated eyes while the pilots reactions are just dazed with gaping mouths because they felt like it was a dream.
After all, they are already going at the fastest speed of their fighter planes, and their fighters are all the latest generation!
'How can such a thing be possible?!' The five of them thought.
They would have been fine if they are not in this kind of situation, but Rey is not someone who would let this kind of chance pass up.
In fact, this was planned by him!
Because after making some distance, he still continued to increase the speed at which he flew before doing a fcking somersault while transforming just like what he did before!
Fraye's scream is heard while Rey is roaring as he concentrated to he maximum to perfectly do this stunt.
The world felt like it slowed down like a fcking shounen anime as this epic move was seen in this world!
Thankfully for Char as he is not the target fo his move!
Rey's target this time is the five fighter planes which is currently in a V flight formation, meaning, they are really close to each other!
Rey attacked them from above and his first target is the leader of the formation!
The one in the forefront!
He attacked it with a flying kick and it hit the back part of the fighter plane near the boosters!
Then he quickly swung the two swords in his knightmare's hands at the two planes beside the first one, his aim is on the wings!
The damage abruptly slowed the two planes and made them quickly fly erratically which made them collide with the two other planes following them!
The five of them are very much clustered together in a formation, meaning, they are very, very close to each other.
This was their strategy so that they would not be singled out, just like most flocks of birds and schools of fishes, because they already know that they are no match against the enemy, one on one.
All of them got taken down like bowling pins!
Char can't do anything but watch and sigh as he is still in the middle of making a curve to circle around Rey.
'Damn it! It seems that I have no choice but to go full power too even if I am still not used to it!
I really should not have gotten back home at this time.
Sigh...' Char thought inwardly while gritting his teeth as he quickly operated the knightmare frames UI to quickly change the default setting into Ace pilot.
This setting is really dangerous to use in a fight mid air as a transformation of two seconds would definitely hinder the speed of the mech and it's attacks.
You can basically imagine it colliding into something while transforming when the machine is flying at full speed.
That kind of accident will definitely kill the pilot no matter how much emergency devices and apparatuses are installed into the machine.
But Char had no fcking choice!
He can't back out!
He does not want to back out!
He hates traitors the most!
Rey's traitorous act just made him remember that hateful noble family that betrayed his family and almost wiped them all out!
Many knows that he is a fallen noble but no one knows his former nobility name!
It is because he is still hiding!
Now, he only has his niece with him and he definitely did not want his niece to live her life in hiding or while using fake identities!
Char sighed as he saw that the five fighter plane pilots are still alive as they activated their ejection seats with built in parachutes.
He took a deep breath as he concentrated to his full capacity, planning to give it his all in one final round!
"Rey!" He shouted in the public channel in the coms with determination and full on shounen blazing flames in his eyes.
"Char!" Rey shouted back with a huff when he heard that shout he then quickly transformed back into fighter mode to circle around too.
