Chapter 35: Chapter 35: Mystical Sanctum
Xialin walked happily towards the figure. When she went near it, the figure seems to be moving away from her. Upon seeing it, Xialin called out her brother, "Ge, where are you going?! Wait for me!". Xulan never turned back neither did he utter a word. He simply went straight ahead inside a mystical sanctum.
Xialin couldn't believe her eyes at seeing her brother behaviour. She called out again, "Ge, what are you doing?!!"
Xulan didn't turn back. It seems like he was in a hypnotised state, Xialin had no other choice but to went inside the sanctum to follow her brother. Just as she was about to enter the sanctum, Zhang Wei appeared. He used his prowess and throw out Xialin far away from that mystical sanctum!
Xialin turns her eye to see who it was? And to her surprised saw Zhang Wei!
She blurted out at him in angered, "You! Why did you pulled me out! My brother is inside that place!! I have to stop him!!"
Xialin recklessly got up and tried to get inside the sanctum again.
Zhang Wei rushed near Xialin and blocked her path, he stand infront of her, grabbed her hand tightly and spoke up in haste, "You! Why are you so stubborn?! Haven't I warned you to stay closed with the firefly spirit!". Zhang Wei then sighed a bit and persuaded Xialin, "It was not your brother! It was the illusion Monster. He finds your weakest spot and used it to hallucinate your imaginations. It then slowly will tempt you to go inside his sanctum. Any person who goes inside his sanctum will never be able to come out for his lifetime. He traps their bodies there. He only throws out the person body once it dies!"
Zhang Wei further continued, "He will make your mind see all the things that you want to see, eat all the things that you want to eat and induce you to stay there. You'll be in an illusion once you enter his mirage. You will think that you are eating the food but actually it will be an illusion. There is no actual food or place in that place. He will be playing tricks in your mind. Even if you are old, ugly with no flesh in your body, he will make you think that you are young and beautiful living in that place. He will use your mind to trap you there forever until you die! In short you'll be in your deathbed if you go there!"
Xialin remained stunned by Zhang Wei's words. Her pupil enlarged to think that if Zhang Wei hadn't saved her, she would already be in her deathbead even before she save her brother!
She then gasped, "That wicked!!"
Just as they were conversing, a sudden needle shape like thing pierced at Xialin's arm. Xialin gulped in shocked and fainted! Zhang Wei grabbed Xialin's body with his right arm and shouted in the air, "Who....??!! Who is it.....!!??? Show me your face!!!"
There was a whistle like sound in the air. Soon after that a group of bandits wearing an all black clothes appeared before him. The bandits bowed down their head at Zhang Wei and greeted him. Zhang Wei watched them in shocked.
Soon after a slightly buff man, which seems to be the leader of their group came out and greeted Zhang Wei with his palm resting on the fist of the other hand. He then confidently asked him, "Master Zhang Wei! This is the Eagle's. We came here because of an order from our higher-up. Please hand over the woman!"
Zhang Wei quickly retorted them, "Why...???!! What are you planning to do with her??!!"
The leader replied, "She is the reason our plans have fail and we have lost many of our brothers because of her. This woman will be punish accordingly!'
Zhang Wei not wanting to hand over the woman, he argued, "This....I would not agree. The matter of the blue coral elixir is your fault. It goes out of hands because of your recklessness!"
Hearing Zhang Wei's reply the leader became hostile. He blurted out, "Master Zhang Wei, you are not planning to go against my master! Are you?!! Don't you forget what you owe to our Master!!"
Zhang Wei hold Xialin tightly and confronted him, "What I owe I have already paid him back. There is no debt between us anymore!"
The leader glares fiercely at Zhang Wei and vented, "Huh! Since this is the case then I have got no choice!"
He then gave order to his men, "Charge in! Capture the woman!"
Just as the leader made the order, Zhang Wei gave them a swift blow using a sudden gust of wind.
The Eagle bandits unable to ward off his prowess they fell onto the ground.
While they were all lying on the ground. Zhang Wei took off with Xialin and teleported from there. He took her at a rocky cave which lies at the top of a plateau.
Upon seeing them leave, the leader chided , "Tch! That Zhang Wei dares to go against us. Quick! Inform our Master!!"
His men immediately heeded, "Yes!!"
Zhang Wei appeared at the cave holding Xialin in his arms. He slowly kept her at the rock and checked her health.
Zhang Wei found out that she was made to faint by a small needle containing herbs. Therefore, he slowly took out the remains of the medicine from Xialin's body using his bare hands.
The medicine was completely removed from Xialin's body. Even though she was completely healed Xialin didn't regain her consciousness. Zhang Wei anxious upon seeing her condition checked her again and found out that she was fast asleep.
Zhang Wei smile as he gazed deeply at Xialin and sat by her side. Sitting there he waited for her to wake up.
On the Other side.....
Scene1:
At Xialin's House.....
Mr.Lin carried a hot bucketful of water and put in on the wooden bathtub. He then went out again to fetch another bucketful of water. Mrs.Lin on the other hand grabbed a handful of medicinal herbs and soaked in on to the bath tub.
As soon as Mr.Lin came back with the bucketful of water. Mrs.Lin turned to him and spoke, "Laogong, the water will be enough. Please, bring our son now"
Mr.Lin replied, "Ahh! Is that so..! Then....I'll bring our son!'
Mr.Lin went to Xulan's chamber. He was laying peacefully on his bed and was unconscious as he was before. Mr.Lin carefully carried Xulan on his back and walked slowly near the bathtub. He then carefully put down Xulan on the bathtub and soaked him there. Mr.Lin then left the place.
Mrs.Lin took a wet cloth and slowly rubbed his son's body. She tears up as she wiped his body and spoke wretchfully, "Erzi! When are you going to wake up!! Please, wake up soon!"
