Chapter 1: Crazy Uncle
when Henry was younger, his older brother was less into doing it "his" way and let people put their ideas into the show they made called "Bendy and Friends". Henry was the one who first drew Bendy, but no one outside of the studio they worked at would know that because Joey took all of the credit for Bendy's existence, along with other cartoons that Henry had made. One day, Henry got tired of Joey's ways and left the studio and tried to live his life with his wife, soon they had a daughter. Her name was Lorra Stein, she had brown hair and golden eyes like Henry and a voice like her mother, but sadly she was born blind in one eye, so the doctors had to replace the eye with a fake one so it wouldn't cause problems.
Years after Lorra's birth, Henry got a letter to visit the old studio. Henry thought about it and decided that his daughter needed to meet her uncle, so he sent a letter to Joey, saying that he would come in a few days. when they got to Joey's home, which was an apartment. Henry saw that Joey had two other boys living with him. Joey tried to get the boys to introduce themselves but one of them didn't talk, they just made hand gestures. the other kind of introduced themselves but didn't say much about themselves, except for their name. Henry got his daughter to introduce herself but he had to help her see the two boys by shifting her to the left of him so her right eye could see. Joey than pulled Henry to a different room, so he could show what he said he wanted to show in the letter.
after Henry and Joey left, the boy who didn't talk, started to get his point down about Joey. "Hi, i'm Timothy. Don't ask why I didn't earlier. I would try not to freak out but that man named "Joey" is crazy! He talks about how he brought his cartoons to life and is always working on that machine in his room which is named "The Ink Machine" also that man feeds us ink soup, so don't scream, freak out or anything that shows you think Joey is crazy because me and Lint don't know what that man will do if that happens. ow!" Lint nudged Timothy to stop him from saying anymore because Joey was coming back, but without Henry. "Now Lorra, I've sent Henry to get the cartoons that I brought to life, so he'll be gone for some time which means you'll be living with me." Joey said and went to the kitchen to make lunch. "not ink again." Lint muttered and sat in the middle seat of the kitchen island. Lorra picked the edge while Timothy picked the other that was near a wall. Joey put a bowl in front of each child, the soup inside looked black and strange. almost like it was something more than ink, but when Lorra ate it, her was confused. wasn't it ink? why didn't it taste like ink? Lorra looked at her new friends and Timothy gestured to just eat then ask.
after Lunch, Timothy answered Lorra's questions like he had read her mind. "apparently the ink can be anything from food to flesh and taste like it." he said and took out a little box then took out a key and started to play some music. Lorra asked about the box and Timothy said that his mom and dad had made it for him if he ever felt scared or hopeless. Lint slightly barged into the conversation and started to play his flute. Lorra asked about it too and Lint said that his dad gave it to him. Timothy then asked if Lorra had brought anything that her dad gave her in the past. Lorra thought about it and took out an old sketch book. "my dad drew in this when he worked at the studio, so I guess it helps me find some ideas to draw." Lorra said as she flipped through different pages.
