Chapter 3: Bite And Swallow Him Whole

Drip

Drip

Drip

In an underground basement, the dripping sound could be heard. As the drop of water kissed the ground it got splashed into multiple minute droplets making a peculiar sound. The only difference was it was no water but rather blood. The basement was dark with only 3 dimed light. It could be understood as this was not the captivator's base but rather a dumping room in an isolated area. This area was far away from the city near a riverside, it sure was a perfect place, even if the captive people shouted their lungs out they could not be heard as there was not a single soul in a 200-meter radius.

Though the sun was shining in its full glory outside, the environment inside the room was dark without any scope of a single ray of sunlight to enter. The room did not have any windows and the only door was sculpted out of solid metal. The place looked like it was made to torture and kill people.

"Arhhhhh"

A painful scream was heard when the door opened. Powerful footsteps could be heard and one could make out at least 2 people walking towards the prisoners. One of the men was brave enough to look at the advancing figure but what he saw made his heartbeat halt for a second.

This was never meant to happen. They were not meant to get caught! They did consider failure in their plan but the percentage of that happening of merely 5%. How bad was their fate!!

All the planning. All the restless nights. All their efforts were wasted. They never thought they would get caught and even if they did not everyone would be. Being seized would be worth it if the person standing in front of them could be death or at least severely injured but there was not a single scratch on him. Luck not surely not on their side.

Even though all of these thoughts were running through their minds, the man in question was expressionless. All he could see was the work of his people. The bodies were all tied up, the upper half portion of their body was missing some flesh while their face was unrecognizable. They were not dead yet, but they absolutely could not be considered living.

Yan Julong's eyes shifted from them towards his people. He then looked towards his secretary who was waiting for his command.

"Report" that was all he said but the aura around the room was turning stormy as the minute passed.

"They confessed. But they don't know anything about that girl. She was not the part of their plan" the air encompassing them shifted freezing causing every single one in the room to tremble.

This was the limit of his patience. Since this morning all he could see was that pair of eyes. He was not able to concentrate and that was frustrating him to an extent that he wanted to strangle someone. Maybe he should!!.

He strolled towards a table and ran his hand through the weapons. He looked like a craftsman deciding which tool to pick that would make his diamond refined.

"Tie them upside down in a row"

All the bodies were tied one by one. They could not object even if they wanted to, their tongue was cut out and they had no strength left in their bones. They were as good as dead anyway so what difference would this make. Their fate was sealed the moment they were seized.

Yan Julong removed his jacket and watch and handed them to Lui Cheng. He took the scythe and walked towards the half-dead hanging body. All he felt was disappointment towards himself for losing his control over his mind. Maybe doing this could give him some peace of mind. In an attempt to release his anger he moved his hand speedily and the body of a man dropped down while his leg still dangling up. This was a deadly scene to watch even for Yan Julong's people. No one dared to look up while the other offenders had their eyes wide open as in pleading to let them kill themselves. The half-body lying on the ground was still moving like the fish removed from the water before the silence ensued.

Soon bodies after bodies were found on the ground. After finishing his work he looked at his artwork where the bodies resembled a painting on the red canvas of blood. Yan Julong wiped his hands on a cleaned handkerchief provided by Lui Cheng.

"Collect the bodies and ship them to the main base. We need food for our sharks anyways"

Yan Julong stepped out of the base followed by Lui Cheng as his loyal puppy. When he was seated in his car, he closed his eyes to rest but all he could see was that doe shaped indigo blue eyes. He need to find the girl for his own sake. It was true that she saved him in a way but it was still early to say if she was a friend or an enemy in a sheep's clothing.

"Boss, do we arrest the mastermind?"

"Not yet, If we did we won't be able to remove every traitor out. There is no fun is planing if you know the opponent is weak and you win"

"But Boss!!"

"Make our men stronger and train them well. If they show the slightest hesitation just exterminate them. We don't need weak-minded people"

"Understood"

"Make sure no one knows, we identified the mastermind"

"Yes boss"

Once the instruction were given Yan Julong closed his eyes again in an attempt to sleep. Maybe as the time pass, he would be able to fully concentrate again. With this thought in mind, he left Country S. The emperor was ready to enter his empire where the snakes reside anticipating to bite and swallow him whole.
